Planned Parenthood is popping up all over the place. These government funded clinics are said to have been created to give women choice. In truth they are tied to the one of the oldest pagan practices. In Ancient Judea, many of the Samaritans worshiped a god named Molech. This god required its worshippers to take babies and lay them on its two arms which were superheated by a brazier furnace. This killed the baby and was a sacrifice to this god, or fallen angel. In ancient times aborting babies was actually quite common. Egyptians and Romans would place a weak child in a clay pot to be sunbaked to death. Early Christians would rescue the poor helpless children from the clay cauldrons and so it is no surprise that Christians like myself today are advocates for life and the Pro-Life Movement; in truth it is following in footsteps of the Founding Fathers of our Faith!
Abortion cannot be in harmony with Christ. For Jesus said, "I am the bread of life, take and eat," "I am the Resurrection Life, anyone who believes in Me shall never die," and He also said, "I am the Way, The Truth, and the Life." (John 6:35, John 11:25, John 14:6). The True God is not a God of death, but of life. Even when Jesus Christ died upon the cross it was to save all people from eternal death and then on Resurrection Day death was conquered by Resurrection Life. With Jesus death cannot survive. Abortion is a violation of God's Will, it is an attack on the first command of God, "Be fruitful and multiply and subdue the Earth." (Genesis 1:28, cross ref. Genesis 9:7). The Bible says, "many children are like arrows in your quiver, there to help in time of need." (Psalm 127:4-5). Children and babies are blessing and abortion is an evil that will be judged along the Holocaust!
I have wanted to speak out on the Abortion, I have felt the cries of the unborn calling me in Christ's name to speak out! My heart is broken to think of all the people who did not get a chance to live. One Walker for Breast Cancer had a Pro-Choice pin on and friend of my mother's said, "I notice you have Pro-Choice pin. The Walker said, "yes I believe women should have choice! To which my mother's friend said, Interesting, for all you know the man or woman who could have cured breast cancer was aborted."
Abortion is murder and narcissism (extreme selfishness) combined. The heart behind it is that young girl or woman doesn't want to take care of a life. She would rather get rid of it to spare running her own schedule, social life, schoolwork, and career. I understand in some cases there is pressure to abort a child and the mother doesn't want to, but parents or boyfriend wants the abortion. In that case I say have the child and let it be adopted. Don't abort, let others adopt. There are many women like Sarah, Abraham's Wife, who are barren and would love a baby boy or girl. Instead of destroying a life, deliver it to someone like Yosebel did with Moses to Pharaoh's Sister. It saved Moses' life, imagine if he had been aborted or slain?
The painting I included in this post is powerful image. Cherubs, baby angels have been a popular motif in many paintings. It dawned on me that they are pefect symbols of aborted children. Look at the face of the child on left, hanging on Jesus' shoulder and reaching to his pierced side to hold his arm up. That sweet face represents all the children who could not bring their joy into this world. On the right is a cherub whose face looks like it has been cut off, like someone tore the front of its nose, mouth and eyes off. This is vivid imagery for what doctors, clinic personale, and nurses do when they abort a child! It is murder! It is cutting little ones, no matter what stage they are in from Conception (sperm and egg together) to full nine months! Abortion is abandonment. It abandons a child through murder and keeps them from ever knowing the earthly parents the Lord intended to teach them, raise them, and more importantly love. It is a rejection of colossal proportions and it will be address on Judgment Day.
I believe God, who is Jesus Christ, The Father, and Holy Spirit is real, operating in our daily lives, inside those who believe, and reigning from Heaven and on Earth. When Jesus Comes back to judge the Qucik and Dead, Abortion will be dealt with! Those who destroyed life out of fear (the parents) and those who destroyed life out of profit (physchians) shall line up before Christ to give account for their barbarity! It is possible, thought not in Scriptures, that the Aborted Children like cherubs, though I believe many will have grown fully in heaven, shall give testimony against those who took scalpel to severe them from this life and against their parents who provided that scalpel with a contract (piece of paper and agreement).
Can you be forgiven for abortion? Yes. But it will be scar that never fully heals unless Jesus should allow a spiritual experience like the Third Heaven (see 2 Corinthians 12:2) to see the child alive in heaven. The other option is to go through Biblical counseling and repent, receive forgiveness from God and forgive yourself. One method for those who have aborted their babies is to write a letter to their baby and attach it to a balloon and let it go (see the movie Sarah's Choice, worth seeing before you consider abortion). The Apostle John said, "If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9). You have not committed the unpardonable sin, He will forgive you. But in addition you need to grieve, to feel the pain of losing a child. God loves you and wanted that soul in your care, but you must heal in the hands of Jesus.
Jesus Christ was almost aborted. He was even born, which may disqualify the word abortion, but the same spirit was behind the soldiers Herod sent to slay Him in Bethlehem. Jesus and his Earthly parents, Mary and Joseph had to flee to Egypt for many years. Jesus going to Egypt is fulfillment of the forerunner and foreshadower Moses, but think about it, Egypt is where a form of birth abortion took place. It was there that Egyptians placed children in pots to die. So Jesus was fleeing a king who wanted his aborted after being born and going to a place that practiced a type of abortion; Egyptians also would strangle a child with their own birth cord.
Jesus died for the unborn and born. Abortion is the genocide of our time. The statistics are staggering:
1.058 Million children aborted a year
2,899 Thousand children aborted a day
1,212 Thousand children aborted a minute
1 child aborted every 30 seconds!

That means while I was writing this post thousands of unborn babies and children were killed! Oh Lord Jesus! Please open the eyes of this nation and all the nations of the world! Let people choose life! No matter how hard it will be, let them give an unborn child the light of day and the gift of life and love that you O Father bring! Amen.
