for King & Country

There are bands that have talent and then there are bands that have transformative power. In most cases musicians who have the ladder are in grip of Lucifer and affect people for the negative. But occasionally there comes a band under the Lord's Banner who lets out a battlecry that stirs believers. One such band is for King & Country. A group of Aussie Americans, for King & Country is band with a beat from another world. Songs like "You Matter," "Its Not Over," and "Run Wild, Live Free, and Love Strong," have the power to heal and inspire. I have followed many musicans in the Christian mainstream. I have been a long time fan of RED, Skillet, Newsboys, Kutless, Pillar, and many others. Each of the aforementioned artists are talented, but they do not all have that sound. The sound is divine. It transcends this world and brings Heaven to Earth. It connects the Soul and Spirit and has the power to shake and save. for King & Country has the

The Problem of Politics

The problem of politics. The Church is envolved in two spheres of polticis; one being direct involvement in the goverment of the land and the second within the Church structure itself. Many believers will advocate that to be a true Christain one must particpate in voting and keep up with the politics. In the US alone, it is nearly impossible to be aware of every bill or law that is about to be ratified. I once was optimistic about voting, that was until I realized that Republic and Democrat are the same thing; just like Conservative and Liberal are the same. Oh yes, they espouse that they have different views and have great row on national television, but they both take the same pay check and at the end of the day their convictions fail. To be a politician is essentially to be a professional liar. The goal is to achieve one thing, while pretending to be doing another. Jesus said, "let your yes be your yes and your no be your no." (Matthew 5:37). The saints are not suppose

I Will versus God's Will

The Fall of Satan (I Will)                                               The Ascension of Jesus Christ (God's Will) Anything short of God's Will is my will. My will is the same as Satan's Will and thus is rebellion to God. That in nutshell is the message we all need to hear. Any good idea that is not from God is not a good idea. Too often as Christians we think our will and God's is the same. But if we look to Scripture we shall see that is not true. "The hear is wicked above all else." (Jeremiah 17:9). In the Garden of Eden, Satan tempted Adam and Eve with the same thing he did, that was "I Will..." (Isaiah 14:12-15). He told the First Man and Woman that if they tasted of the Forbidden Fruit they would be like God. He was right, they learned the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But what Satan left out was the cost package or consequences. As a result of mankind's mutiny and desire to replace God, we get death. Sure we can precieve right

Jesus and Angels in Disguise

Poverty is the number one charity that people tend to give to. Christian and Non-Christian alike shower money towards the problem of poverty. But the real issue is not just poverty itself, but how we address it. Often we just want to hand over some dollars or to sign up for some child in Africa via coperations like Compassion International. Such charities are worthy, but there is a real need that no amount of money can solve in poverty; that is the need of the human soul to be saved and loved. When we just give from a distance, that person cannot know love. Do not get me wrong, helping a child get educated in a third world country or keeping someone from staviing with a few bucks is great! But there is a deeper way in which we can reach these lost and troubled indiviudals. Jesus Christ said, "when you have helped the least of these, you have helped me." (Matthew 25:40). A haunting sentiment from the Savior. So when we help someone in need, wither they be homeless person

Being A Zealot for Jesus

Often as Christians we can become complacent and even stoic in the Church. That firey passion we had for God and His presence fades beneath the rituals and routine. The time has come for us to return to "our first Love," (Revelation 2:4-8) and go back "to what we believed at first." (). Remember when you first became a Christian; the passion and zeal to know the Lord and serve Him. Do not just remember, rekindle! Maybe it is the moment for you to leave the Church buidling or theology class to restore that desire to be disciple of Chirst. Perhaps you need a respite from certain people to re-enter the Presence of God. We are living in times where you can be "called" or "chosen." The Called are the Church that desires to stay stoic and serve Christ at the bare minimum. These believers will be "saved by fire," or possibly be "spewed out," of God's mouth upon his Return. The Chosen in contrast are sold out for their Savio

The Sign of Salvation

Often when we think of salvation, the sign that comes to mine is the cross. This would be accurate, for Jesus Christ did die upon the holy rood to save us; but there is another sign of salvation and it comes from the Holy Spirit. The Church is fragmented and split over the Gifts of the Spirit. There are those that argue that only the Apostles were permitted to prophecy, cast out demons, heal the sick, and do miracles. Such doctrine does not hold up when compared with the Scriptures. When Jesus Christ met his Disciples and Followers in the Upper Room, he gave them the Great Commission: " Go therefore and make disciples of all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit ." (Matthew 28:19). Now some commentators argue that the baptizing is with water like John the Baptist, but that is because they omit the Great Commission of the Gospel of Mark which says, " And these sings shall accompany those who believe; in my name they shall c

The Sin of Bloodlust

Lust is a major problem in the world. People want things and they often will do terrible things to get them. When we think of the word lust, sex is frequently the synonym we find. He lusts for a woman is typically the phrase. But lust can be anything, it can be desiring and coveting a car, a painting, or anything. More poignantly, lust can be longing for unnatural cravings; the desires of demons. So we come to the Collisum, the epicenter of lusting for blood. Bloodlust is a sin, the Bible says, "He who stops his ears from hearing bloodshed and his eyes from looking upon evil." (Isaiah 33:15). The immediate reaction to this verse is, "what about war?" Do warriors violate this command when they kill other warriors? What is the context? Blood lust is different than blood letting. War calls for arms and shedding of blood, but blood lust is the insatiable desire to see blood spray and to see something skewered beyond recognition. The Collisum is the heartbeat of bl

Films for the Faithful

As Christians it can be hard to find films that do not violate our beliefs. I have compiled a collection of movies I think that will edify and empower a evangelistic's life. On my list will be sanctioned or rather films christened for Christians and films that you might not expect. I hope that this will be of some help. The Keys to the Kingdom 1944 The Keys to the Kingdom is a film about a man who is called to the ministry. Francis (Gregory Peck) is that man and his call brings him to China. There this Catholic Priest creates a school and chapel. The film is in black and white, but the acting is impeccable; Peck is brilliant and conveys the heart of a true convert to Christ. The film is edifying in a myriad of ways; it is heart warming to see how the Chinese come to love Brother Francis and how the impact of one man changes a country. One scene always gets me, when Francis' first disciple is seeing him off, he says, "my life began when we met, I know nothing else

iGeneration

Apple inc. Logo. I once wrote about the N Generation. A generation that was full of narcissism. I have decided to revisit that topic, but under a new terminology. I owe the title and term to my father, who said, "this is the I Generation or iGeneration, they think only about themselves." The Bible explicitly says, "that in those days, people will become lovers of self." (2 Timothy 3:2). But there is a more startling revelation behind the word "I or i." Upon writing this blog post it was announced that Apple has revealed their latest gadgets, the iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus . Apple has become a giant in the technological world. Their phones, tablets, and even computers are the most sought after. It is interesting that the terminology I want to talk about is at the core of the apple if you will. Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, was once a Christian. I say once, because he abandoned the Faith and became a drug addict and then later the founder of A
