The War Between Neighbors

I have kept silent about the war in Ukraine, not wanting to alienate any who read my posts. However, being silent about something historical and tragic is not an good option either. What I will say is how sad this conflict is. Cities laid waste, trenches of civilian bodies, war crimes, and no end in sight. How do we arrive at this place? Our Lord said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these..” (Mark 12:31). And we see what happens when we don’t, necropolises (dead cities) and generations snuffed out because of idealism, greed, inability to compromise, and more.  I do not take a side in this conflict. Russia’s invasion is illegal, but    know desperation makes nations do unimaginable things: The Nazis rose because Germany was sanctioned heavily after WWI, and The Empire of Japan rose due to fuel costs and embargos. We like the theater of war to be simple, hate them and love them, like Marvel stories with superheroes and villains, the villain being

Bill To Ban Jesus in Israel

In the Kinesset, Israel’s Parliament, a bill has been put forth that would ban sharing Jesus and the Gospel, ban The New Testament, ban videos of evangelism, and more in Israel. The bill os headed by Ultra Orthodox Jews,  “JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – On Sunday, ALL ISRAEL NEWS was the first news outlet to report that two influential members of the Israeli Knesset (parliament) have just introduced  a bill to make it illegal for Israeli or foreign Christians to share their faith in Jesus with other Israelis , be they Jewish, Muslim, or of some other faith or no faith. The bill was authored by Knesset Members Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Asher. Both are ultra-Orthodox Jewish members of the United Torah Judaism (UTJ) political party. As a party, UTJ has seven seats in the 120-seat Knesset and is, therefore, a vital component of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's 64-seat majority government. If the bill were actually to become law, violators could be prosecuted and sentenced to "one y

Deus Meaning

In Latin many people say Deus or Deo for God of the Bible. They even say in the carol “in excelsis deo.” But deus is not the name of our God, it in fact derives from pagan god’s name, “Deus (Classical Latin: [ˈd̪e. ʊs], Ecclesiastical Latin: [ˈd̪ɛː. us]) is the Latin word for "god" or "deity". Latin deus and dīvus ("divine") are in turn descended from Proto-Indo-European *deiwos, "celestial" or "shining", from the same root as *Dyēus, the reconstructed chief god of the Proto-Indo-European pantheon.” Dyeus or Deus was a chief god of the Romans known as the father and paired with the earth mother goddess better known as Mother Earth. He is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob, he is a false god, one of the Roman pantheon that the Roman Catholic Church uses in unison with our Lord God’s name! This is part of Romanism that corrupts, just as St. Xavier merged The God of the apostles with Shangdi of China, which is not the same god! It m

Red Heifer Antichrist

In Israel they have bred the red heifers for Temple sacrifice ( https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/israel/2023/march/prophetic-anticipation-builds-as-unblemished-red-heifers-for-temple-ceremony-soon-come-of-age ). The Jews intend to use it to sacrifice for their sins. This to us Christians is blasphemy! Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God and died once for all time for all sin, “Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.    For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by

The Cross and Its Centrality

Many may have wondered why is it we Christians have the cross as our symbol. Many historians and theologians will tell you The Early Church used animal symbols like the Ichthus (fish), Lamb, and Lion. They will say it was Emperor Constantine who made the cross the dominate symbol of the Church with his vision or dream of the cross in the sky and hearing God say “In Hoc Signo Vinces: in this sign you shall conquer.” Constantine certainly made strides to making the cross legal to display, making Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. However, crosses can be found in catacombs and other hiding places of early Christians dating to. The apostle Paul dis not shy from the cross, “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14). But it is our Lord and God Jesus Christ who made the cross famous by His sacrifice on it (John 19, whole chapter), a sacrifice for all sin for all

The Role of Elders

In many cultures, elders, those who are of senior age, are regarded with honor and sought for wisdom. However, in parts of the West older people can be regarded as a hindrance, kept in nursing homes, separated in churches to senior groups, and generally regarded as used up and    on death’s door, so they are treated as if they have committed some sort of crime by just being aged. This is antichrist! Elders are as filled with Christ as younger people! There is no verse in Scripture that declares because someone is senior they are less full of the Spirit, or less of a brother and sister in Christ!  Actually Scripture says, “But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-co

Lightning Hits Jesus Statue

In Brazil there is a famous statue of Jesus that towers on a hill. Well recently it was stuck by lightning which spurred many comments on the news comment section speculating what this could mean.  Honestly the most practical answer is it was a tall object in the vicinity of a lightning storm and thus was struck. But I believe Jesus our God who said “there will be signs in the heavens,” (Luke 21:25-26) and that this deserves some attention.  Many commentators claimed it was that God is angry, and struck the statue. Its interesting the first interpretation is God did it, perhaps because of verses where our Lord wields bolts, “Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea” (John 36:30). However my mind went directly to Satan, “Jesus answered them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” (Luke 10:18). My mind instantly went to this could be a sign from Satan that he is soon going to raise up his antichrist and that what we are seeing as an e

The Importance of the Blood

Throughout history The Lord God has used blood to cleanse, protect, and make covenant. The first time we see this is when The Almighty makes His covenant with Abraham via the sacrifices of blood offerings, “But he said, “O Lord GOD, how am I to know that I shall possess it?”    He said to him, “Bring me a heifer three years old, a female goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” And he brought him all these, cut them in half, and laid each half over against the other. But he did not cut the birds in half. And when birds of prey came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.” (Genesis 15:8-11). The next time we see blood is when Aaron places his staff in the Nile waters, “Thus says the Lord, “By this you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, with the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water that is in the Nile, and it shall turn into blood. The fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile will stink, and the Egyptians will grow weary of d
