In His Service: Be a Knight of Christ

The time has come for men to enlist in the army of the Lord! To become Knights of Christ in his charge! "Our war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and thrones." (Ephensians 6:12). Man has been manipulated into a shadow and echo of what he once was. Nowadays there is this equality of the sexes, and applaud that women can now do what their hearts desire, but there is band brothers bond that is being lost. There are times when men and women need to pray together, work together, and collaborate. And then there are times when men need to be with men and pray, worship, and talk. In same manner women need to be with women and pray, worship, and talk. Its not about separating, its about dynamics.

Men talk differently when there are only men (not talking about crude talk, but they feel freer to let loose and be themselves). When a women is present, there is the God designed desire to impress and be conscience of the woman's feelings. Its hard to be raw and real, because the deeply imbedded programing of God is to protect the woman, even from things that discomfort her. Likewise, women have an ability with only women to discuss the deep problems, issues, and things that would normally unnerve a man (women stuff, enough said).

Men are called to be knights. To be soldiers in Christ's army, fighting against the unseen forces of darkness and modeling Christ's chivalry to their families, friends and workforce. Men have gotten rather wimpy in this century, they have become so sensitive to criticism and concerns. Instead we should be stalwart sentries in Christ's court who can take constructive criticism from brothers in Christ and chastisement from our Lord himself; for the Scriptures say, "The Lord chastises and corrects those He loves." (Proverbs 3:12, Hebrews 12:6, Revelation 3:19).

For women I say you too can be knights, Shield Maidens of the Savior. Dame disciples. But this post is more directed towards men, because we need men to pick up the slack and start behaving like Men of God again. Women have done more than this, in fact women have been carrying the load of being both the man and woman: balancing both work, protecting kids, and raising and nurturing the children. Women are off the hook in this post, you are actually carrying too much of the load, especially here in America.

Its time to shape up men! Its time to take responsibility and do your part! Now I am fine with the changes in 21 Century, some men have a gift to nature and stay home, while the wife goes to work. That is fine. But in that case the man has taken over a part of the responsibility of rearing, while the woman is at work. The problem that I have seen with my own eyes are men who aren't doing either half of the job. They aren't going to work, they aren't raising and tending to the children. If they do go to work, that it, they come home, watch TV and do as they like. Its time to stop being lazy and be legionnaire for the Lord! Why is that Christian men love to watch movies about WWII soldiers going above and beyond the call of duty or chevaliers fighting off hordes of orcs, but they just sit there and do not emulate these heroes in their own homes?!

Its time for the knights to return. For Men of Christ to become lights in their own home by living like knight who defends, cares for, and respects his charge; in this case a family. For those single cavaliers, I say start now! Choose to be Christ-like and behave like His empowered chevaliers who are bold, courageous, and loving. Its never to early to enlist in Emmanuel's Army! Start now by becoming Christ centered and chivalrous with your own children, husband or wife, and friends. Choose to be a Knight of Christ today and stop admiring the self-sacrificing, solid (constant), and gallant men in movies, and become one today!

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
