Jesus: Ressurection and Life

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life! "I am the Resurrection and Life, any who believe in me shall live, even if they die they shall live." (John 11:25). I have written about this in former post, but I felt it needed to be explored once more. We tend to think of resurrection as mortality, that God will in those days raise our bodies from death or raise us from our death bed. While it is true Jesus will raise the dead, and raised many from the Dead and Himself was raised bodily (Mark 16, 1 Corinthians 15:4); Resurrection conquers all kinds of the death, not just the bodily death.

Death comes in many forms. The first is body, this is when our physical vessel decays and our spirit goes to with God. The Second Death is the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:14), known as Hell by many. Another death is Mutiny or Suicide, when someone dares to say they have the keys to life and death. There is a Spirit of Death, which brings spiritual death and makes people feel oppressed with fear and terror. There is the death that means separation from God, which is called Sin. There is the death of relationships and dreams. There is a angel of death. The point is the Jesus is the Resurrection and Life, which triumphs over all these deaths and every death that exists!

Jesus conquered the grave, the bodily death when he rose from the dead on the Third Day. Jesus conquered the Second Death of Hell on the Cross and for any who believe in Him as Son of God. Jesus's Resurrection and Life engulfs suicide by foiling those who attempt it and by letting His Resurrection flood the mind of one thinking of mutiny. The Resurrection and Life of Jesus defeats the Spirit of Death, which is demonic being with a closeness in Christ and vibrant resurrected spiritual life in God which casts out all fear and terror. Jesus' Resurrection and Life destroys all death that is separation through the death on the cross! The veil is torn and through Jesus Christ we are no longer separated from God, for "God is in us and we are in God." (1 John 14:13). Jesus's Resurrection can resurrect relationships and revive dead dreams and even create better ones. The angel of dearth submits to the Lord of Life who is Jesus Christ. All death and all separation of every kind was defeated by our Savior and Son of God!

Be at peace and trust that death has lost its power! Christ, "whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should held by it." (Acts 2:24). Death could not hold Jesus, and it cannot hold us! Death has "lost its sting," (1 Corinthians 15:55) and we shall never experience it. Even when this body fails, we shall go to be with the Resurrection and Life Himself! So is that really death? Can one die when they are in presence of the Author and Source of all Life?! Jesus tried to get this across to the Sadducees who did not believe in Resurrection or Eternal life, He said "God says that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He does not say He was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is a God of the living, not the dead." (Matthew 22:32). One cannot be dead if they are with Life itself! In actuality, we pass from death (this world of separation) to life (living with Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!).

We need not fear death in any of its forms, for we that believe have the Resurrection and Life inside us! Jesus has conquered every grave and thing that seeks to separate us from God and people. Stop fearing death and realize that death fears you! For Jesus is within you and you are within Him! (1 John 5:4). Do not fear any Grim Reaper, for God's Resurrection is the death of that Reaper! As St. Paul said, "for me to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21). Paul can say this because he understood that death has no power and does not really exists for a Christian! He knew that to die meant to be with Jesus Christ who is the Resurrection and Life!

Today be set free from the fear of death in all its dimensions! Recognize that Jesus is the Resurrection and Life, and no death can touch you! Even though your body may perish, you shall rise again (1 Thessalonians 4:16) and you shall receive a new body that is better! (2 Corinthians 5:1-10). St. Paul says powerfully, "O Death where is your victory? O Death where is your sting? The sting of death is in sin and the power of sin is the law, but thanks to God! He gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ!" (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). And remember this! Death and Separation (Hades) shall one day be completely destroyed and thrown in the Lake of Fire! (Revelation 20:14). So do not fear! But draw near to Jesus Christ who is the Resurrection and Life!

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These w

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come and died for our sins an

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few people are endeavo
