Be Anoymous

In this world many are apt to be enthralled by the rich and famous. Those in power get headlines in every post and publishing of an article. And yet those that are in spotlight are undeserving. The cesars and actors of our times are miserable people. They live a life of reckless abandon. It is hard to keep up with which actor has cheated and divorced their famous significant other at $250,000,000 USD (imagine if every Hollywood divorce settlement was put towards the debt and deficit of the USA). While the ruse of glamor and glory of being rich and famous floods our televisions, social media, the internet, and more; we should remember what misery those who flaunt their vanity and vainglory live in. Matthew McConehay, known for his roles in "Failture to Launch," "How to Lose A Guy in 30 Days," and more said this, "I went overnight from being a nobody, to a somebody. I once was like all ordinary people, but then suddenly my face was on buses and all over the

Sword: Word of God

Swords have captured the imagination of people throughout the ages. From the age of Enoch, through the rise of the Roman Empire, to the Metal Medieval Ages, and until the end of the Civil War period, swords were a weapon used by romantic figures, knights, warriors, and soldiers. The sword is a symbol, of liberty. It was the weapon of the warrior for most of human history. But the sword has a history not often known to those who brandish them for reenactments at Renaissance Faires, in ceremonies like the Marines, or at coronations and knightings. The sword is a supernatural substance that is first recorded to have been made by the angels, angels or sons of God (Book of Enoch). The Genesis account says Tubal-Cain made cutting instruments (Genesis 4:22), and the sword has many associations with God Himself. Recently there was discovery in King Tut's tomb of a dagger made of meteorite. This is fascinating because The Book of Revelation says, "Then another sign appeared in h

Judgement

I grow weary of the tolerance that is taught in churches these days. People believe they should not impose their faith on their friends, or make mention of their beliefs in Jesus Christ. As many Christians refuse to share their faith out of fear of offending or losing a friend, that same friend is bold in sharing paganisms like Yoga and other eastern beliefs on a daily basis. It has become unpopular to tell people that they will be judged if they do not believe in Jesus Christ as their God. This rhetoric has been all but removed from the lips of rectors and religious leaders. The words of Jesus Christ are not uttered, which spell out exclusiveness, "I AM the Way, The Truth, and the Life, none may come to Father except through me." (John 14:6). The age of postmodernism has been a plague on those "pure in heart." (). A double standard has been raised, allowing the humanists, pagans, Hindus, and heterodox to have their voice while stripping that same voice from the S

The Problem of Primacy

Many churches boast of primacy. Each claiming their connection and founding to an apostle or holy person. The Church of Rome claims the Primacy of St. Peter, that the Apostle spent twenty four years as bishop of the Roman Church. The Eastern Orthodox boast in the Primacy of St. Paul, that the apostle to the Gentiles founded their first churches from Arabia to Ephesus. The Charismatics claim the Primacy of the Spirit, that the Holy Spirit founded their church as he did many atPentecost. Then there is the Church of Christ and The Church of the Nazarene that boast their primacy comes from Christ alone.  This factionalism and fantacalism ovet who founded which church; this vying for primacy of place using the names of apsotles or the Alpha and the Omega Himself is against the very heart of the Gospel and the words of the Apostle Paul, " I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say an

The Real Second Coming of Jesus Christ: What It Will Look Like and Will It Be Public or Private

There are a lot of false christs these days. Men with beards in Siberia, China, The United States, and more claiming to be Christ returned. There was even one who showed up to an Apple iStore to protest. Since so many imposters of Immanuel are emerging, I thought it helpful to review what Jesus Christ himself, in The Holy Scriptures says about His Second Coming. Jesus tells us, " and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people ," (Matthew 24:11), and " For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect ." (Matthew 24:24). Our Lord and Savior then tells us that the false christs will appear in private places, and in solitary locations and people will say, " People will tell you, 'Look, there is the Son of Man,' or 'Here he is,' but don't go out and follow them, For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so it w

The Assault on The Apocalypse

There is a television series that has these allegeded 'heroes' trying to stop the Apocalypse from happening, and one of lines is "remember, you are fighting against God." Coming out soon is the latest installment in the X-Men movie franchise which is called X-Men: Apocalypse , which features an omnipotent mutant named Apocalypse, and his Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. The Book of Revelation says there will be four horseman of the Apocalypse, "" () and the author and leader of the Apocalypse is not the villan in the latest X-Men film, but Jesus Christ Himself (Revelation 1:1-2, Revelation 19, Revelation 22:21-22). Film and television is increasingly becoming antichrist and anti apocalypse, predisposing people to be against the Lord and His return, " Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen ."

The Catholic Contributions

The Roman Catholic Church has made major contributions of Christian theology, thought, music, and literature. Many Protestants while protesting the vagrant fallacies of the Vatican and the Roman System, find themselves quoting St. Augustine of Hippo , St. Thomas Aquinas , St. Francis of Assisi , and St. Jerome . All whom I might add where devout Catholic Christians. So the question must be asked, what contributions has the Catholic Church made to Christianity? Are we to truly believe it has been nothing but a "Babylonian Captivity?" Or are we to do as St. Paul said, " For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed ," (1 Timothy 4:4-6), and " but test everythi

The Middle Ages: More Christendom Than Mysticism?

In a previous post, "The Middle Ages: More Mysticism Than Christendom," I outlined and made the argument for how the Middle Ages was a period of mysticism rather than genuine Christendom. While the concerns raised in that post are worthy, I felt I needed to balance it with another look at the same period through the lens of the Medieval people. The post Reformation Protestant can be quite disingenuous towards churches of old. The Medieval Church was one formed in the Collapse of the Roman Empire. Many did not know what to do, civilization as they knew it had come crashing down and the only thing to fill the void was a Church and its bishop in Rome. The Bishop of Rome had retained renown prior to the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Pappa as he became known helped settle matters and disputes in the East, often acting as arbiter and council to doctrinal problems. This combined with the collapse of the Western Empire in circa 313-380 A.D. created the Pope and Papacy, whi
