  This Thurday marks The Feast of The Ascension, the celebration of when our Lord Jesus Christ ascended back into heaven after His Resurrection from the dead. The principle account is contained in the first chapter of Acts,  “The Ascension So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him

  One of the greatest events in the Old Testament is The Flood. When God decided to destroy the human species with a great deluge of water, sparing only Noah and his family. In most Sunday school rooms and even Kirk Cameron films, The Flood is sanitized and leaves God looking like a tyrant who is taking out his creation on a whim. The truth about The Flood is very dark, and is like the images (art and designs) H. R. Giger used in the Alien & Species franchises.  God did not spontaneously decide to end mankind. No, There was a very good reason for his ire.   It is no secret that the “Home of the Brave” is in dire shape. The United States has become The Divided States, with people breaking into political factions and being at odds over social issues. How can the healing begin? Will the Coastlands survive this descent? Is the City on the Hill now ruins like Stonehenge?  It is easy to feel bleak about America. The News media gives us samples daily of decline, and it seems all hope for the Land of Liberty is lost. I cannot give prophecy that the US will survive this tide, honestly the End of Days chapters and book in Bible speak little of the Eagle, Stars, and Stripes. I know that as Christians there will eventually be no refuge in America, for Jesus says, “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.” (Matthew 24:9). That is all nations will hate us, not except America. Plus the Antichrist will conquer all nations, “The Beast was allowed to make war on the saints

  I have endeavored to make the point that we don’t need altars, cathedrals, and other sacred architecture to know, serve, and be close to God, “If you confess Jesus Christ as Son of God, God lives in you and you live in God.” (1 John 4:15, NLT). That being said I am not against visiting and praying in chapels, cathedrals, creating prayer corners, prayer closets and etc. We have spaces where we eat, where we sleep, and where we watch TV, what is wrong then with a sacred place? A place that merely acts a somewhere to focus more spiritually without distractions and perhaps some inspirations like a cross and candles. I have not been one to support Iconoclasm, the destruction of images, my chief concern is that no Christian brother or sister become dependent on them, nor dependent on sacred spaces like chapels.    I am reminded that in time of the Prophet Daniel, when Cyrus released the Jews to return to Canaan, there were two sects, those who stayed in Persia believing the Lord God is wit

  One of the hardest sayings of our Lord has been a call to love our enemies, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,   that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.   If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? That part at the end about being perfect like the Father seems impossible, but we must remember what the Father did, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).    Which leads us to fact that we were all enemies of God, “For if

  The world is moving more and more antichrist. One merely has to sample Netflix and other media to see biases against Christ.
