The Coronavirus which originated in China has spread to Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Italy, UK, the USA, and other countries. This virus is really a family of viruses that includes Sars and CV-19. The death toll in China is in the thousands, and concerns about the mutability of this plague is causing mass pandemonium,  with some alarmists claiming tens of millions will die and everywhere from Hong Kong to New York City will be quarantined, and put on Lockdown (Martial Law). Others (including one UK expert) are taking the more conservative view that this virus is really is only a life threatening disease to elderly people, and those with preexisting conditions like lung disease, cancer, heart disease, and other auto immune weaknesses. Trying to find the truth about how dangerous this virus is and whither we should stock up on Ramen Noodles, Water, and etc is confusing. I suggest we take this outbreak seriously, do the moderate level response; wash hands, keep taking vitamins,  stay rest

The greatest weakness of the modern day church is money. Pastors and their congregations have often side stepped sound doctrine and empowered terrible leaders because of money. I am disturbed by how social issues are starting to eclipse the gospel, and becoming the focus of churches. Rather than the Great Commission and preaching Christ, many church leaders have become obsessed with social issues and social justice; turning their houses of worship into dens of inclusion and pioneers to address issues like homosexuality. The devil is clever, he had gotten the Body of Christ fixated on social issues and articulating where a particular congregation stands on them rather than preaching Christ! Our pastors have become obsessed with addressing the culture, when Christianity is about the counter-cultural Christ! The Amazon (South America) has been a stronghold for Roman Catholicism for centuries. I am dismayed at how easily brethren get deceived by false teachers, false prophets (Matthew 24:24), and false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:2-15). Few seem to use the discerning of spirits, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world,” (1 John 4:1), and many fall for winds of doctrine, “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching (doctrine) and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming..” (Ephesians 4:14). The reason people get decieved is they do not memorize the New Testament and test what is said by prophets, “Let two or three prophets speak, and let the rest judge and measure what is said” (1 Corinthians 14:29).
