The New Immortality?

Man desires immorality. We all crave to live forever and continue our existence into eternity. This was designed in us by the Creator. For in Eden Adam and Eve were meant to perpetually live; never dying. Then the serpent, Satan, tempted them to eat of the Forbidden Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and immediately what followed was a change and fulfillment of the words of Lord which said, "The LORD God commanded the man, saying, " From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die ." (Genesis 2:16-17). This desire to never perish, to remain forever existing in body was addressed by only One. Jesus Christ not only promised Eternal Life, but a Resurrection of our bodies! The Lord said, " I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die .." (John 11:25). The Apostle Paul goes on to s

Modern Mutants

The human race is mutating. We are becoming a new species. We once were an organic matter with a spirit and soul (mind and emotions) that was designed by the One True God. When the Almighty made this creation, this Adam (Human 1.0) and then later Eve (Human 2.0) He said, "This is very good." (Genesis 1:31). Then this Creation made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27) made a choice to "eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil." (Genesis 3:6). The result of this decision altered Human hardware, our designed was infected with a virus called Sin and the result was that the world's perfection was lost, paradise was lost; our bodies would perish, and enmity and distrust between man and all creation would be sown, as well as fear because of man's insecurity, an animal had to be killed for clothing (Genesis 3:21), and later animals would be used for sacrifice to assuage sin. Man and Woman was mutated by Sin. We were changed and made

Born Again

A Poem by Jeffrey Gassler in Honor of our Lord Jesus Christ We have been born again by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Our Lord and Savior has allowed us to enter into His Kingdom. We have been baptized in His Blood and from His Side the Church has been made. Just as Eve came from Adam's Side, so We come forth from the Son of God. The Father accepts us in the sight of His Son. The Sacrifice that was made for us through Jesus Christ makes it possible for us, frail and fallen creation to be union with the Creator! The Church really is a marvel. It is the making of Almighty God. We came forth from Christ's Wounds, like a child from the womb. It was struggle, we wiggled and writhed in our wicked sin, not yet passing through the Blood. Then we came forth from Christ's Wounds, made a new. The shackles of our sin, like the umbilical cord were tossed aside and we took our first breath in this new world of Salvation. Our cry of praise reaching paradise and our eyes at last

Who Do You Trust?

I find it very interesting that in this day and age, people prefer to revere and believe scholars of contemporary times or the last two centuries. For example, there are brothers and sisters in Christ who will believe every word of Derek Prince, Darby, Jack Hayford, Bob Mumford, Max Lucado , but they twist and try to reason away the words of Christ Jesus that read, " deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow me ," (Matthew 16:24) and " I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies will be the members of his own household ." (Matthew 10:34-36). Conveniently, Christian brothers and sisters will reinterpret Christ's word to have a different meaning. That our Lord could not possibly ask us to endure such hardships are having family hate us or have to deny ourselves pleasure and comfort. And yet these same people wi

To Know Christ

We are raised to know many things. To learn, to be educated, and to be filled with knowledge. From the time we are youths we are taught oration, writing, arithmetic, and science. We apply rules, learn the gravity that is in all subjects and seek to master how far we can fall before hitting the pavement. Education is a gift, to learn a lovely boon from the Lord. However, not all we learn or know is profitable. There is much that sullies our souls. The Apostle Paul said a very polarizing statement. While amongst the most learned of Greeks, whose knowledge of poetry, philosophy, and the powerful forces of Science was unparalleled, St. Paul said this, " When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with superior eloquence of speech or wisdom as I proclaimed the testimony of God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified ." (1 Corinthians 2:1-2, NET/NIV Hybrid). The Apostle choose to "know nothing except Christ

Does the Church Serve Mammon or Messiah?

The Church has become a place of Money Changers. The door of cathedrals and houses of worship leads to a "den of thieves." (Matthew 21:13). Everything is for sale, including Emmanuel. The money changing is coming from two directions; one is the prosperity doctrine, that if you tithe and give your money to the Almighty, "He will open the storehouses of heaven for you." (Deuteronomy 28:12, Malachi 3:10). The second is a belief outright solicitation. Instead of a blessing from God for giving, preachers with their "snake oil spirituality" convince sheep (believers) that they need their product wither it be a book to refute lies, food for the End Times, and etc. Who is the church really serving? Is the Messiah, Christ Jesus or Mammon the god of money and wealth? Honestly, there is another Jesus in the church today masquerading as the Lord and Savior in Scripture. He promises to help, but at a price. If you give, this jesus will supply all your needs. He

Justification versus Sanctification

Justification and Sanctification are vastly different doctrines in the church. In the Catholicism Justification and Sanctification are combined: one is justified by Jesus' death on the cross and the baptism, but must sanctify oneself through sacraments for sin after baptism. In this way a believer then must merit their own salvation with the help of Christ' grace that drips down from the cross and the saints. The problem with this view of justification is that it undermines Christ's blood and sacrifice on the cross! The Apostle says, "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.." (1 Peter 3:18). The Rock as the Catholic Church calls Cephas or Peter said that Jesus "died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust.." That once for all would read in our modern language as "once and for all" or absolutely and comp
