End of the World

Very few songs in contemporary Christian Music attempt to describe The Lion of Judah side of Jesus. In part the reason is fear of obscuring The Lamb of God who was slain for us, that grace will be missed by souls that need to believe. However, The Lion and Fire & Brimstone preaching has its place to “rouse a deaf world,” (C.S. Lewis).

The collaboration between Kutless and Disciple on the single “End of the World” is nothing short of visceral and haunting. It opens with direct quotes from Revelation and the Prophet Joel about the Seals breaking, the Moon turning blood red, and stars falling from the sky after showing planets and the galaxy. Then the lyrics turn ot the streets will run with blood, a reference to the blood of the wicked will be one hundred miles long (Revelation 14:17-20NLT) and up to the bridle of Jesus’ horse (Revelation 14:20). It then goes totally into a course of your will breaking and there is no hiding from the wrath of lamb, and that you need to “get down” and bow now, bow the knee to Jesus willingly not later at judgement. This is a very profound message, a gospel approach of Jesus being King of Kings and that you can willingly bow now, accept His Message (Gospel, Testimony), His love and His truth, or try to hide unsuccessfully from His wrath like the wicked who will call for mountains to fall on them (Revelation 6:16, ironic that this verse is 6:16, since the Mark of the Beast in half of the manuscripts of Revelation is 616 instead of 666).

This song would make the late Billy Graham proud. It is a approach of preaching the gospel from the sovereign side of Christ, that embracing the gospel is to give homage, pledge fealty, and willfully submit by bowing rather than be in one of the damned groups at all shall bow (Philippians 2:10-11) and risk the wrath because you refused Jesus’ grace and forgiveness for all sin through faith in Him and His finished work at the cross and tomb. End of World has an urgency with sirens and warnings about the hour is late to choose Jesus before He returns, for if you are caught naked (Revelation 16:15), not believing in God’s Only Son, you are judged already, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus, Iesous, Yeshua), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not judged; but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18). This is a timely approach the preaching the gospel. That our Lord Jesus Christ is the Lamb and Loving Savior, but he is also Sovereign King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16). That you can embrace him now at the hour of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT) via the cross or risk His sword at the end of the world. Amen.

Lyrics if you cannot access the Video of Kutless’ End of the World:

This is the beginning of the end

The seals have been broken

The true and faithful Witness

With thunder, has spoken

The time has come

The moon like blood

Stars are falling from the sky

The breath of God

The world undone

So tell me where are you gonna hide?

I've had all I can take

My will is starting to break

I feel sick when I see

The world that's crashing around me

Do you need a miracle?

Something supernatural?

They're calling, come and behold, the End of the World

This is where streets run with the blood

(Of) The beaten, the broken

But we refuse to help them

Our doors left, unopened

The hardened hearts

The children starve

Darkness tears across the sky

The wrath of God

When judgment comes

Tell me where are you gonna hide?

I've had all I can take

My will is starting to break

I feel sick when I see

The world that's crashing around me

Do you need a miracle?

Something supernatural?

They're calling, come and behold, the End of the World

I can see your pain

Heart is filled with shame

Are you wondering how

To end this suffering?

It's the only way

To decide your fate

Are you listening?

Are you listening?

It has begun. Choose your fighter.

Get down

I see it coming

Then or now every knee will bend

Get down

I see it coming

Then or now we will breathe the name of Jesus

Get down

I see it coming

Then or now every knee will bend

Get down

I see it coming

Then or now we will breathe the name of...

I've had all I can take

My will is starting to break

I feel sick when I see

The world that's crashing around me

Do you need a miracle?

Something supernatural?

They're calling, come and behold, the End of the World

I can see your pain

Heart is filled with shame

Are you wondering how

To end this suffering?

It's the only way

To decide your fate

Are you listening?

Are you listening?

Get down

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
