The Fountain of Life

One of the great legends is the Fountain of Eternal Youth. It like the Grail Legends has inspired many to go on quests in search of it. It is interesting it is fountain because in Scripture we are told there is a special fountain. The Prophet Zachariah foretold a fountain that would cleanse people of their sins,

“In the future there will be a fountain, where David's descendants and the people of Jerusalem can wash away their sin and guilt.” (Zachariah 13:1) That fountain is Jesus and the waters are His Blood. For Christ himself said that the water He shall give will be a fount that springs up to eternal life,

“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14).

Those waters of that Fountain are are His Blood,

“For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins,” (Matthew 26:28), “And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,” (Revelation 1:5), “the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin,” (1 John 1:7), “So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood,” (Hebrews 13:12), “Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God,” (Romans 5:9), “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ,” (Ephesians 2:13), “So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you,” (John 6:53), “And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood,” (Luke 22:20), “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you,” (1 Peter 1:2), “And through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross,” (Colossians 1:20), and “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,” (Hebrews 10:19).

Zachariah the Prophet foresaw by The Holy Spirit that the Living Fount would be Jesus, that His cross was a fountain where He poured out His waters for all our sins for all time!

We are then told that in Kingdom The Lamb Who is Fountain of Eternal Life will have fountains of living waters,

“because the Lamb in the center of the throne will shepherd them, and He will lead them to fountains living of waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'" (Revelation 7:17). We thus see eternal life from His waters and Him the Fount of Forgiveness will be forever! Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
