Laying It All Down


This world is under the dominon of darkness. The devil took it as his kingdom in Eden when Adam and Eve ate the Forbidden Fruit. Since then Jesus Christ restored our authority, but this planet is plagued by serpents and shadows. Everything in this world seeks to draw us away from our Lord and Savior. A pastor once said to me, "there is a thread of Satan in everything.." He is quite right with the exception of Jesus Christ (there is no thread of the devil in Him)! 

I once sojourned in the fictions people today find solace in. I was an Ardaian or Ringer (die hard fan of Tolkien's works), but I finally awoke from the spell of Sauron and the Norse mythology resurgency. I found refuge in the identity of the Jedi and could tell you the intricate differences of Jedi Guradian and Jedi Sentinel, I could tell you of Revan, Darth Bane, Naga Sadow, Exar-Kun, Mara Jade, and Dash Rendar. But finally I saw the Force for what it really was: mystricism of the New Age, Buddists, and Wiccans. Like many I hunted on the Forrunner rings of Halo, making the Covenant, Flood, and Heretics submit to the might of the UNSC. I thought I was a hero, until I saw that my enemy was aliens with the titles, names, and designations of those in the Church. It would take a warp pipe to account for all the hours I spent in the Mushroom Kingdom as Mario, Yoshi, and his pals, but even they are not without the taint of Japanese paganism and Shintoism.

I explored these worlds to their deep core, investing well over 15-20years and spending enough money to cover going to colleges like Oxford  and Yale seven to ten times over! (Exaggeration, but the money spent astounds me to this day). Therefore when I speak about these entertainments as they are called, I do so from a former place of deep fandom and investiment. It is to my dismay that almost nothing is without the taint of pagan religions. Many will label it as fantasy and say, "what harm can it do?" It can do great harm to your children and at the very least make you waste time chasing mushrooms than meeting your God given calling.

Those in the entertainment industry work hard to earn new converts to their causes. They want Christians busy playing their anti-Christ games, watching their anti-Christian films, and spending the rest of the time thinking about their products. The Industry has long been steeped in Humanism and Satanism. One does not have to look far to see the symbols and influence. Those who read this post may think, "yeah right, Satanists making games and movies?" Well it makes perfect sense. Satan is the prince of this world (John 12:31) and he wants people focused on this world or on anything not of Jesus. So it is in the devil's best interest to keep Christians busy with his products. Plus those who serve Satan often prosper because their belief system is built on success in this world, not in "Storing up riches in Heaven."

As Christians, are focus should be Christ and people. The two commandments make this clear. But culture and society have done a good job of getting us distracted. If you can banish the things of this world; TV shows, movies, video games, and etc, then do so because you are eliminating major impediments to your calling and walk in the Lord! But I realize most cannot accept this and to try and impose it would be unjust, because it took me twenty six years to finally be able to give up these things; each left my life over time. But I will say that you would be better off letting go of these distractions and devil inspired stories and instead serve Jesus Christ with every fiber of your being!

Here are some Bible Verses that affirm we should not put stock in this world, they are:

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them." (1 John 2:15).

"You adulterous people, don't you know friendship this world means enmity against God? Therefore anyone who chooses to be a friend with the world is an enemy of God." (James 4:4).

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind. Then you know how to test and know God's Will for your life." (Romans 12:2).

"Now is the time of judgment for the world, now the prince of this world (satan) will be driven out." (John 12:31),

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic!
