Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” (Genesis 1:1-9). God flooded the earth as judgement of this interbreeding between fallen angels and humans. So who the Israelites fought in Canaan were half breeds, half fallen angel and half human. In addition to these were tribes like Amalekites and Hitties who practiced Beastality, sex with animals, which made them disease ridden, and who sacrificed children by throwing babies on burning hot arms of Molech, and they practiced all sorts of magic & witchcraft, “When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12). The people the Israelites fought were depraved, and demonic half breeds; not a nation of normal human beings. So the comparison to what is happening now in the world is absurd.
Our Lord was punishing evil tribes in Canaan who followed idols, practiced sorceries, were half breed angels, and who did practices that spread disease, infertility, and other plagues. In fact, even the Egyptians were barren compared to the Jews during their slavery, this is because the Egyptians like the pagans in Canaan did practices that create sexual diseases that make people infertile, while the Jewish people held to God’s standards and became very fertile. Today barrenness is spreading. Birth control pills have proven to cause infertility, certain sexually transmitted diseases are making people barren, and that coupled with abstinence and abortion is leading to many races perishing, Japan being an example with its indigenous populace declining to dangerous levels.
Israel’s conquest of Canaan helped stop the spread of these diseased practices, and snuffing out the last remnants of vile hybrid angelos-homosapians (Nephilim, Anakim) who were giants. There has even been findings in Israel of Phillista that shows massive skulls and skeletons, which indicates they were relatives of the Anakim and Nephilim, and explains why God raised up Samson to judge and destroy them, and even King David fought one of last Nephilim, Goliath.
Canaan was not just some kingdom that Israel conquered for resources. It was a land of perverse people; a demonic progeny of Genesis 6:1-8, that God was finishing off since The Flood; the Nephilim are abominations, filled with demons and God used His people at the time to destroy them. Amen.
