Discernment or Delusion?

In this life we have two choices. We can either live discernful lives or delusional lives. Each lifestyle comes with a cost package. For those who choose to live a discernful life it will require the death of delusion and suffering. For those who choose the delusional life it will be the death of discernment and false sense of security.

Sometimes films illustrate a point better than anything you can read. An example of this is found in The Matrix. The film is about a delusional world created by machines to control humans called the Matrix and the Real World where people are free but must fight the machines. This is the stark reality of our choice in this life. We can either keep deluded in a construct created by the Architect (Fallen Angel) or we can decide to wake up and follow Real Word of God.

In the first Matrix, there is poignant scene when Morpheus, a prophet gives the protagonist Neo a chance. In this scene, Morpheus presents Neo will two pills, one is red and the other is blue. Morpheus says, "You can take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, stay in wonderland,  and I will show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes." This is a perfect explanation and symbolism for the two paths a Christian can take. You can choose to be delusional and take the blue pill, waking up everyday and believing whatever blissful ignorance you desire or you can take the red pill, which is the color of Christ's blood and find out how deep discernment goes and you will see this world is a place of suffering, where machines (men and demons) will seek to kill you because you no longer are deluded.

The choice is simple, but the cost is not. If a Christian chooses the blue pill, they are not exactly written out of the Book of Life (I cannot guarantee, only Christ knows), but their life will have minimal impact and their influence for the Kingdom of Heaven will be greatly diminished. The blue pill is a surefire way to have a happy life here on Earth, but is will cost you happiness and a closeness with Christ in the next (and even possibly salvation). If you decide to take the red pill of Christ's blood and suffer and fight against the forces of darkness, you shall find everyday is set on battlefield. It will mean a hard life without delusions, and the realities of the darkness will be so stark that at times it will be overwhelming. But the good news if you will join in Jesus' sufferings and know the Truth; the veil that was placed on your eyes will be gone and you will spend your life purposefully.

It is easy to say take the red pill and take the hard narrow road down the rabbit hole. But actually living with the cost package or post life of discernment is going to be painful. You will find yourself losing friends, family, and fantasy. Those who want to stay blind with the blue pill will think you are crazy or they will cause you grief to stop you from opening their eyes.

Taking the red pill is picking up your cross. Jesus said, "To become my disciple you must deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me." (Matthew 16:24). You have to deny yourself the delusions that try to keep you from seeing the darkness. It means denying the blue pills of this life and building your discernment. In time you shall see so clearly, that you will feel as Neo did in the Matrix at the end of the film, you will want to fee those who are walking around like drones in their delusions. But be prepared, as Morpheus said, "not everyone is ready for what you want to show them." Many will resist waking up and seeing the supernatural war that has been going on since the Beginning of our world.

Additionally be prepared to never go back. Once you see, you cannot unseen. You may try to drown your discernment with blue pills and delusions, but your heart will remember the reality. Such a person who having picked up their cross and seen the deep mysteries and lays down the cross again to live in lie of this world will find themselves in unsettled place where they cannot be happy either way and as St. Peter said, "how again can they be saved?" (2 Peter 2:20). Like Cypher who is the Judas of the first Matrix film, you cannot go back and be plugged back in without severe damage to your soul.

We are not the only ones who are faced with this choice. Christ Jesus had to make the choice thrice! The first time was in the Wilderness where Satan tempted him with the Kingdoms of This World. Jesus said no. Then when the zealots and Jews wanted Jesus to be a political messiah and overthrow the Roman government; He could have done it, but it would not have been the will of the Father. Finally, Jesus was tempted with the choice to do the real plan to open man to discerning how to be saved through Jesus (which He did) or to pass the cup away and not die. Jesus of course did the Will of Faith and made it possible for us to be saved and have discernment. But the choice was before Him.

So which will you decide? Will you take the blue pill and live in blissful delusion? Or will you take the red pill and really live for Jesus Christ and live  in discernful place? "The choice is yours, I leave it to you."

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
