The Sexualizing Jesus

In Spain an artist named Salustiano Garcia painted a painting of Jesus for Holy Week and it is causing a stir. The image is Jesus with only a lion cloth covering his privates, a suggestive posture, and a red background. The Archbishop of Seville and the Socialist Party Leader and Mayor have defended the art piece. The Artist Garcia says, “to see sexuality in my image of Christ, you must be mad!” (https://www.artnews.com/art-news/news/effeminate-jesus-poster-stirs-controversy-in-spain-1234694819/amp/ ). However, the famous Caravaggio who painted a beloved scene of the Last Supper was openly homosexual and pioneered a queer artistic revolution; you can see his sexual preference in the hands and parts of his paintings, much like I see in this painting by Garcia.

Homosexuals have tried to caste Jesus as a gay man, they claim he spent a lot of time with his male disciples. He also spent time with women too, he discipled Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42), and had the Women of Galilee supporting His Ministry (Luke 8:1-3), it is Dan Brown in his devilish fiction of The Da Vinci that asserted Jesus had a wife. All sexual orientations lay claim to Christ, but Jesus is God and would never be sexual towards men or women, for He flooded Earth over angels having sex with women! (Genesis 6:4-12) and destroyed two cities over sexual immorality (Genesis 19); by extension He would then never be sexual towards anyone! Jesus is the Holy Lord that is pure and without blemish, and this activity trying to paint him in a sexual light is the lack of sacredness in people today!, “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.” (2 Timothy 3:2). There use to be respect for God and what people consider sacred!

But it this also a false christ, to depict Jesus as He is not is a antichrist, in this case it is in a painting form rather than doctrinal form like Arianism, or a literal false christ like Reverend Sung Yung Moon or the false theology of the Mormon Jesus. I admit I saw this painting prior to hearing there is outrage over it and could sense its sexual suggestiveness despite what the artist claims, and I am not alone, 12,000 people in Seville gave their signature over the course of three days for its removal over its homoerotic suggestive nature.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is Holy, and the spirit of this present age is trying to morph Him into its sensibilities. All who try to depict our Lord as sensual, whither Homoerotic or Heteroerotic, or in other abominable ways not mentioned will stand before the Righteous Christ and be judged for their acts of trying to taint Him who was without sin, “You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin,” (1 John 3:5), “He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth,” (1 Peter 2:22), and “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15).

We are called to holiness, “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) and “For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.” (1 Thessalonians 4:7). What this means is you have to believe in the holy Jesus (John 3:16) and holiness He imparts to us by faith in Him, and we then bear fruit of holiness and other fruit through Him, “I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5); We are to be holy like Jesus through Jesus’ help and through Him. But if a person tries to depict Jesus as He is not, unholy, then they are not holy and are like the evil one, and must repent. I pray this artist sees past his own work, that He realizes that whither intentional or not his artpiece is maligning The Messiah, and he will have to stand at The Last Judgment before Him for it. I pray he recants this artwork, and uses his talent to glorify the holy, not tear it down with his brush. And I mean that whither homoerotic or any other kind of erotica; there should be no erotic elements to Emmanuel paintings, our Lord Jesus is pure and holy, never having sinned or done anything sexual. Amen.

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
