“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
I grew up watching the first two Ghostbusters films. The original which is marking its 40th Anniversary is considered a classic comedy. The story is about a gateway to the destroyer god named Gozer is going to be opened in New York City, and it requires two people possseed by hellhounds Zuul and Vinz Clortho, the Gate Keeper, and The Key Master. The Ghost Busters are four men Peter Vankmen played by Bill Murray, Ray Stantz played by Dan Aykoyd, Harold Ramis played by Egon Spengler, and William Atherton as Walter Peck who using science can trap ghosts and paranormal beings with streams from their proton pack and seal them in a trap device. The film is full o demonic imagery and beings, the hellhounds Zuul and Vinz look like like gargoyle demons. Sigourney Weaver’s character gets possessed by Zuul as does the Ke Master, the imagery is very Satanic. There is a scene of a Succubus making love to Dan Aykroyd’s character, which is like a reverse Genesis 6:4-6, forbidden by God! Dan Aykroyd admitted in Netflix’s The Movies That Made Us: Ghostbusters that his ancestor was an occultist who wrote a book which Dan used as the material for Ghostbusters, so lest anyone think its just fun make believe, the concepts, designs, and story telling came form an occultic book and occultist dabbled in demonic paranormal!
In Ghostbusters II there is this Vigo Carpathian who is god that lives in a painting and wants to come back into our world, but needs a bay, he chooses Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver)’s baby. In one scene the curator of the Muesum thay Vigo’s painting in makes a circle of candles with the Satanic pentagram. Vigo seeks to possess Siqouney’s baby which demonic, since possession is real as seen in The Bible.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is essentially a toned down sequel that retreads the first Ghostbusters with Gozer, Zuul, and Vinz returning. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a sequel to Afterlife that was just released on March 22nd, 2024, and critics at Rotten Tomatoes consensus it is too serious, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire offers a certain amount of nostalgia-fueled fun for fans of the original, but a crowded cast and surprisingly serious tone prevent this sequel from truly sparking." I find it interesting this occultic sequel came out along with two Satanic films Immaculate and Late Night With Devil one week before Easter…
The problem with Ghostbusters is it is based on the writings of an occultist, Dan Aykroyd’s ancestor (The Movies That Made Us: Ghostbusters, Netflix). This means the demonic ghosts, and possessions and even names like Zuul are not fiction. Why as Christians would we have anything to do with this?!, “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons,” (1 Corinthains 10:21), “What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?” (2 Corinthians 6:15), “Why are you provoking Me to anger by the work of your hands by burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to reside? As a result, you will be cut off and will become an object of cursing and reproach among all the nations of the earth,” (Jeremiah 44:8), and “On the contrary, the things which the Gentiles (pagans) sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons / devils [in effect], and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons [by eating at feasts in pagan temples].” (1 Corinthians 10:20). If we are not suppose to participate in feasts to demons why would we watch movies of demons? Amen.
