Israel: The Right To Defense

Israel is once again being incited to defend itself from the terrorist regime Hamas. So far Hamas has fired 400+ rockets (the number climbs) into Israel, many of which have made their way to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other cities. Israeli civilians are now in bomb shelters as the Iron Dome, a defensive missile silo shoots down most of the Hamas missiles. Israel is also using Operation Protective Edge to target terrorist insurgents. As usual, when Israel begins to defend itself, the critics rise from various political positions to demonize Israel. I have visited Israel numerous times and found it to be peaceful place. Christians, Jews, and Muslims live in harmony. It is the terrorists that instigate and incite hostilities. Gaza was given by the Israeli government as an offer of peace, but now Hamas holds it and uses it as a base to launches its attacks.

Hamas is not only harming innocent civilians in Israel, it is placing it own Muslim brothers and sisters in danger to protect their weapons! Terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaida use human shields. They set up shop in highly populated areas for political reasons. If Israel does a counter strike to deal a blow to the terrorists, they inevitably hit civilians because organizations like Hamas want collateral damage. Hamas and other radical extremist groups want to go on the news after Israel has defended itself and make allegations of genocide and deliberate targeting of civilians.

Israel like any nation has a right to defend itself. If America, The United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia, and Saudi Arabia were under attack they would respond accordingly. Why is there a double standard for Israel? Why can other nations retaliate to protect themselves and Israel is called salacious names for fighting back? If your town was being bombed, would you be so critical of a response to keep the enemy in check? I think not. When dealing with terrorism it is about survival. Terrorists are not like organized empires who invade with a banner and large armies. Terrorists take up residence in suburbs, caves, play grounds, and other hiding places. They do not charge into battle at the front, but fire at their targets from obscure locations and then disappear. They do not confront, they cause chaos. They have no respect for life and do as their whims dictate.

Actress Natalie Portman was born in Israel and she has this to say:

Well said Mrs. Portman. Israel is indeed fighting for its survival. For the right to exist! What is even more baffling is that Hamas is not just hurting people, but holy sites! Their rockets have struck Jerusalem and they could destroy their own Al-Aqsa Mosque! Not to mention the very cradle of Judaism and the Christian Faith! Hamas has not respect or reverence for what is holy, nor do they honor the sanctity of human life. It says in the Quran, "take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by justice and law." (Al-Quran 6:151). So I ask with great confusion how is it just and lawful to use women and children as shields and fire rockets from beneath their loins? How is it honorable and lawful to shoot missiles from schools and playgrounds where children play?

We must stand with Israel. For in that land exists the cradle of all civilization and religion. There dwells a people who deserve to exist! The double standard needs to stop! Israel has every right to defend itself. The media should be targeting Hamas and its inhumane treatment of people in Gaza and Israel, not target Israel for defending itself! It is time for the truth to be told. Stand with Israel in prayer. Pray for Israel's protection and pray that peace (cessation of hostilities from Hamas) will come soon.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
