  When the people gathered to wave palms before the Lord Jesus shouting Hosanna, it was not just identifying Jesus as king, “The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” (John 12:12-13), it was an adoration ordained in The Old Testament that identifies Jesus as God, “And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.” (Leviticus 23:40). Notice it says rejoice before The Lord your God, I do not know if the people shouting Hosanna in 33 A.D.’s Palm Sunday were aware that Jesus was and is the Lord God incarnate (in a human body, human flesh) and thus were obeying the Old Testament command to worship before the Lord with palms....

The original which is marking its 40th Anniversary is considered a classic comedy. The story is about a gateway to the destroyer god named Gozer is going to be opened in New York City, and it requires two people possseed by hellhounds Zuul and Vinz Clortho, the Gate Keeper, and The Key Master. The Ghost Busters are four men Peter Vankmen played by Bill Murray,    Ray Stantz played by Dan Aykoyd, Harold Ramis played by Egon Spengler, and William Atherton as Walter Peck who using science can trap ghosts and paranormal beings with streams from their proton pack and seal them in a trap device.    The film is full o demonic imagery and beings, the hellhounds Zuul and    Vinz look like like gargoyle demons.   People, even fellow Christians will use the terms fortune and destiny. Example are, “fortune favors the bold,” and “I want to find my destiny.” Fortune is not wealth, it is a goddess named Fortuna that had a wheel she spun that would either lead to your good or bad fortune. We are told not to participate in fortune or destiny, “But you who abandon (turn away from) the Lord, Who forget  and  ignore My holy mountain (Zion), Who set a table for Gad [the Babylonian god of fortune], And who fill a jug of mixed wine for Meni [the god of fate]/ But you who abandon the Lord, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for a god of good fortune, and fill cups of mixed wine for a god of fate/ But you who are abandoning the Lord, you who have forgotten my holy mountain, who are setting a table for Fortune, who are pouring out mixed wine for Destiny.” (Isaiah 65:11).  We hear in a lot of films glorification of Fortune, and Fate/ Destiny,  “Little John: Fortune had smiled...

  One of the most anticipated Star Wars shows is The Acolyte, which will tell the the Sith point of view. Telling the dark perspective is not something new, John Milton’s Paradise Lost is from Satan’s perspective and C. S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters is a discussion between two demons. In Legends, formerly The Expanded Universe, there are tales for the dark side point of view in The Darth Bane Trilogy, Book of Sith, and etc. However, in those treatments, the Sith still retain their ruthless nature and their path is always shown as evil. The Acolyte series plans to go another route by the Sith Lord telling its acolyte, “this isn’t about good or bad, its about power and who is allowed to use it.”    (The Acolyte).   Alistair Begg is a brilliant Scottish Pastor. His sermons are so rich. One in particular is relevant not only because Good Friday and Easter Sunday are nearly here, but he draws parallels between the attitudes of people at our Lord Jesus’ Crucifixion and today’s masses who cry, “save yourself and us!” (Luke 13:39-43) and “prove yourself to me Jesus, save me from this situation, help my relationship, and etc and then I will believe.” (Pastor Begg).   Our Protestant Bibles omit the Apocrypha Books. The question is why? One of the reasons is they are not divinely inspired. They are myths and quasi-history with God not speaking into them. Although one could argue Esther does not have God speaking into those events either but the King Xerxes was a real Babylonian King. Another major reason is that our Protestant list of books contains what the Jews currently have regarding The Old Testament. The Jews over time removed the 7 deuterocanonical books including Judith, Tobit, and The Maccabees. The Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Bibles retain the Apocrypha because it was in use during the time of Christ. For instance the origin of Hanukkah (Festival of Dedication) was instituted because The Maccabees retook Jerusalem and rededicated the Temple that had been defiled.
