Pride Before The Fall

I am convinced what will destroy humanity is the same sin that destroyed Satan, pride. I talk to humanists and atheist and they say things like “eternity I cannot fathom, and sound horrible with no ending,” or “God is all knowing, that must be boring or suck.”

The fact that people in their hubris would presume to judge God and say what they think something they cannot possibly understand or know like eternity and omniscience baffles me. One person I speak with is so determined to believe only reason and science is reality, and they deny the higher reality of Christ. They are so wise in their own eyes, when Jesus is the source of all wisdom, “Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3). And yet this person’a life is full of misery and pain, they will not allow anyone to pray for a miracle for them, to lay on hands, because they trust in science.. it is like watching someone on fire, and you keep saying, “drop and roll!” And they don’t believe in dropping and rolling..

So many of the younger generations such as Y, Z, Alpha, and Beta believe they know everything, they claim to be like God, and yet they have pandemic levels of chronic loneliness, anxiety, chronic insomnia, restlessness, insecurity, and all manner of disorders. The Original Sin is there sin, rather than be content with God, they want the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, to be like God and know all, and the cost they do not realize is utter destruction! We humans are not meant to know everything.. our minds cannot contain the totality.. Jesus even says to his disciples,

“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now.” (John 16:12). Like the scene in Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skull when the villainess seeks all knowledge from The Crystal Skull Alien gods, it makes her mind explode.. because man is not meant to know all!

That is a measure of peace we Christians have. We let Almighty God, The Holy Trinity be all knowing and are content to ever be learning from Him! We must dopt the words of Thomas A Kempis, “If I knew all things in the world and had not charity, what would it profit me before God Who will judge me by my deeds?

Shun too great a desire for knowledge, for in it there is much fretting and delusion. Intellectuals like to appear learned and to be called wise. Yet there are many things the knowledge of which does little or no good to the soul, and he who concerns himself about other things than those which lead to salvation is very unwise.

Many words do not satisfy the soul; but a good life eases the mind and a clean conscience inspires great trust in God.

The more you know and the better you understand, the more severely will you be judged, unless your life is also the more holy. Do not be proud, therefore, because of your learning or skill. Rather, fear because of the talent given you. If you think you know many things and understand them well enough, realize at the same time that there is much you do not know. Hence, do not affect wisdom, but admit your ignorance. Why prefer yourself to anyone else when many are more learned, more cultured than you?” (The Imitation of Christ, Book I, Chapter Two). There is peace in not trying to be a know it al, to relish that there is still so much more to learn. And yet that is not the world, they want al the answers, to eliminate God with AI and other sources of knowledge.. which is futile! For All Knowledge is in Christ (Colossians 2:2-3). So they are actually denying the only way to know more, to have greater revelation and wisdom.

I grow weary of the hubris of man. That people think they can do better than God and try to be God. What a terrible responsibility it would be if you got close! The movie Bruce Almighty, with Jim Carrey, who thinks he can do better than God at running stuff gets his chance as God gives him his powers, and by the end of it Bruce (Carrey) admits he is not doing a good job as the apocalypse is about to happen, and asks God to take the reins back. What fitting parable of what I am trying to say, that we cannot play God.. it is not our place. We are the Creation, not the Creator. We must humble ourselves before God The Trinity, and let him receive due worship and reverence!

I pray that if you are suffering from wanting to know like God does, that you consider the danger of seeking such knowledge or the appearance thereof. Many people seeking secret knowledge have destroyed their faith, and exposed themselves to horrible witchcraft like the Gnostic texts, Essene wisdoms, Free Masonry, Egyptian Occult, and more. Do not seek these secret wisdoms.. depths of Satan really, “Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you,” (Revelation 2:24), rather seek Christ and “count all things lost but knowing Him.” (Philippians 3:8). Amen.

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
