Alexander Hislop: False Teacher

I want to go on record and say beware of anything that comes from Scotland. The Scots have a Satanic rite called The Scottish Rite and there is a stronghold there of darkness. One well known ‘reverend’ from there is Alexander Hislop who is known for his book “The Two Babelyons:

.” In his book he dissects The Roman Catholic Church’s symbols, rites, and etc, and many have been drawn to his dismantling of Romanite rites. But he is sneaky, a serpent who castes doubt on The Trinity, The Cross, Christ dying on it ,and using pseudo-archaeology and pseudo-anthropology to undermine faith.

He claims to be for the faith, but he so dissects The Trinity and the Cross, and everything in The Church that I am inclined to quote Wordsworth, “we murder to dissect.” He claims the cross is pagan, and not used by God, When it says in The Four Gospels of the New Testament that our Lord Jesus carried a stauros or cross!  Who do you trust? The apostles and their teaching or some Scot who castes doubt on the essentials of Christianity? Christ Jesus our Lord paid for all our sins for all time on the cross. People when they see a cross necklace don’t ask, “do you worship Tammuz or Horace? (their symbols are actually the Tau and Ankh which differ from the traditional cross of Christianity)” they know it means you worship Jesus Christ and that you are Christian, just like nowadays The Star of David represents Judaism, when long ago it was an Egyptian witchcraft symbol; symbols change over the ages, the sun symbol of Buddhism and Hinduism is now overshadowed by its use as swatzika by The Nazis; what something means now matters. People like Alexander Hislop tell you Christmas and Easter are pagan festivals in Christian packaging. Really? The worship of Ishtar and fertility in the Spring Solstice has nothing to do with remembering Jesus’ Passion (Crucifixion) and Resurrection. At Christmas we don’t worship Saturn, we worship Jesus coming to Earth as a baby boy in The Nativity Scene.

Alexander Hislop and other doubters posing as sages of deeper mysteries, illumination, and enlightenment, “deeper truths.. depths of Satan really,” (Revelation 2:24) would even say Jesus is not his name, its Iesous or Yeshua, uh do you think God Almighty doesn’t know his children  mean Jesus as in Iesous, Iesus, and Yeshua? If you knew your name in all languages and someone called you John or Jochanan or Ivan, would you not answer? Jesus is our Lord’s Name in Anglo-Latin, from Iesus which comes from The Greek Iesous. Its His Name!

People like Pseudo-Rev. Hislop are false teachers who insert doubt and lies dressed up as facts. He even tries to claim burning candles in front of statutes or using them on altars in churches is totally pagan and involved ancient Egyptian worship (Two Babylons, Chapter V, Section V: Lamps and Wax-Candles), that is nonsense! The Lord God instructed The Jews to build a Lampstand for the Tabernacle, “Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.” (Exodus 25:37-38), and Jesus our Lord stands in middle of the Lampstands, “Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a Son of Man (Jesus, Mark 2:10), clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.”  (Revelation 1:12-13). Lampstands have candles or oil, and there is nothing wrong with the use of candles or lamps in churches! If its good enough for our Lord God, its good enough for us!

People like Alexander Lisop claim to be champions of truth, he says his aim was to take on the false doctrines of The Roman Catholic Church, but his book is aimed at all churches, he preaches ideas to undermine The Truth in Scripture. Lisop says crosses are pagan & evil (Two Babelyons, Chapter V. Section VI: The Sign of The Cross), Jesus says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me,” (Luke 9:23), and Paul says “May it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14). Who do you trust more? Our Lord Jesus & His Apostle or a senile Scottish Reverend?

Beware of people who try to place doubt on The truths in Scripture. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves,” (Matthew 7:15), claiming to be reformers, when they are rancors serving Satan in the purpose of shipwrecking faith, “This issue arose because some false brothers had come in under false pretenses to spy on our freedom in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.” (Galatians 2:4).

On Amazon reviews I saw a reviewer  say to understand Alexander Lisop’s Two Bablyons you have to understand the occult, alchemy, cabala,  and have that kind of ‘illumination’ [God forbids all of these in Deuteronomy and Leviticus]; That is telling, and proves my point that Alexander Lisop is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a false prophet, and false teacher who like many spiritual things that come from Scotland is Satanic. Stay away from Alexander Lisop’s books which are heresies meant to tickle the curious mind and ultimately shipwreck a pure and simple devotion to Christ!, “I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ,” (2 Corinthians 11:3).

I have proven in two examples Lisop’s claims against candles and lamps being pagan is false because our Lord God uses a golden Lampstand and Lampstands in Exodus and Revelation! That he derides the cross as pagan, when Christ and his apostles claim it as good.

Do not listen to wolves who caste doubt on Jesus’ name, on Mary & Jesus, on The Cross, on Candles & Lampstands, and etc. They are infiltrators who seek to harm The Church in their wool and sheep / shepherd like clothing. Do not heed their lies, and half truths and their out of context use of Scripture; For Satan even used Scripture when he tempted Adam and Eve adding a lie of don’t touch to “Did God say you could not eat or touch the fruit of the tree,” (Genesis 3:3) and when tempting Jesus to jump off the Temple he said “Will not God command angels to catch you and not let you bruise your heel?” to which Jesus said, “but it is also written do not put The Lord Your God to the test.” (Matthew 4:7-9). False teachers like Alexander Lisop are crafty like their master Satan, using half truths, splicing Scripture to support their outlandish claims.

As I said in the John Piper post, do not turn to  fallible theologian & teachers, but make The Bible your only book for theology, doctrine, spiritual teaching, and guide for Christian living. For it alone is trustworthy, the words in it being God Breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). Amen.

Comments

  1. Historians and archeologists haven't given Alexander Hislop's book serious consideration since before 1900 even came around. His work was published in the 1850s and was discredited within a few decades. Fundamentalists tend to spout anti-Catholic bigotry, which is why Hislop's work still appeals to them. If the work has any value today, it would only be for entertainment or as a historical curiosity.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
