The New Counter-Reformation

 

When The Reformation began to take hold in Europe, The Harlot Babylon, i.e. The Roman Catholic Church launched a Counter-Reformation. Part of that counter was The Council of Trent, where the laid out in plain terms what Roman Catholics believe, distinguishing themselves from Protestants especially by claiming a different gospel than the one preaches by The Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, and Jesus himself (See an in depth exploration of The Council of Trent in my post, https://sirjeffreypendragonblog.blogspot.com/2022/07/the-council-of-trent-catholics-damn.html?m=1)). The lines were there solidified by The Thirty Year’s War, a bloody conflict between Papists and Protestants that featured massacres like the French Catholic slaying of Huguenots during The St. Bartholomew Day Massacre. The Papists have always been more prone to murder, “If French Protestants were militant so were Catholics crowds and they were generally more murderous: where Protestants smashed images, Catholics butchered people." (The Reformation, Diamand McCulloch, pg 308).

The Serpent of Romanism unable to snuff out The Reformation during its counter, was content to cease its conquest via the sword and wait for another chance to destroy The True Gospel and The Faith of the Apostles as found in Scripture. The moment came when a new pontiff rose, Francis I, who declared an end to spiritual hostilities  by recognizing The Reformation as good and claiming it as a holiday on Oct 31st to share with Protestants, encouraging Catholics to “know the Bible as well as Protestants,” calling Protestants brothers in Christ, and finally allowing Protestants to partake in The Eucharist without having to become Roman Catholic. This sudden Ecumenism and olive branch would seem genuine and a means to heal a rift between Rome and The Reformed, but it is a new wave, a new Counter-Reformation, one of infiltration, and desensitization; a serpent hiding in the shadows that doesn’t drain all its venom in its victims, but with little bites of Roman error till one surcomes to the charms of Babylon.  

Already Joel Ostreen is endorsing The Catholic Guy on the Catholic Channel, and Kirk Cameron appeared on The Catholic Guy show to endorse his new movie. The awareness of the great divide in our theology and doctrine over Soteriology, Marianology, Primacy, and more is being ignored as people forget that The Council of Trent is in effect in The Roman Catholic Church, a council that idisagrees with John 3:16, John 6:40, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 15:7-11, Acts 2:4-10 and plethora of other Scriptures. The Romanite Church does not believe the True Gospel, read my post on The Council of Trent (https://sirjeffreypendragonblog.blogspot.com/2022/07/the-council-of-trent-catholics-damn.html?m=1), I go through the dogmas as they are written in that Council; dogmas that damn what Scripture claim as Truth! The Council of Trent can’t be altered even by the Pope because it contains essential Roman Catholic beliefs. The Romanite Church can only crumble, it cannot be reformed by our best efforts, Martin Luther learned that from experience! He tried and learned there can only be severance if the True Gospel is to survive! 

We must not give any quarter! The Roman Serpent is slithering in our churches as Satan slithered in The Garden of Eden. The Catholics are infiltrating, using ecumenism and the familiar act of openness that gives us hope they will listen to The Truth, but their aim is to rub off on you, to seduce you from a pure and simple devotion to Christ, “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily!” (2 Corinthians 11:3-4). This is there new black harvest, they sheathed their sword from the 16th Century and now hide poison tipped toothpicks for you to chew on! Do not be beguiled, the ecumenism they are trying to create is simply a Roman outreach disguised as a forum and friendship; they are aiming to spread the tentacles of Babylon in our meeting tents, and make no mistake this is their enterprise, the Papists are marching with Bibles in hand this time, and they will enslave you to Roman lies, and try to make you leave your freedom in Christ, “Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery—.” (Galatians 2:4), “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 11:13), and “Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.” (Galatians 1:7).  Do not let them! Resist this new counter-reformation disguised as friendship and solidarity! Remember their sexual abuse scandals! Remember the martyrs like William Tyndale who’s New Testament is in all our Bibles, he was burned before Catholic clerics! Remember the St. Bartholomew Day Massacre, how Catholics used a wedding to murder innocent Huguenot Christians. Remember how they hid the Gospel & Bible in Latin for a Millennium and rebuilt pagan altars! Remember that they teach Jesus is sacrificed every Eucharist / Mass over and over, when Scripture proclaims He died once as The Sacrificial Lamb for all time!, “Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own,  for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.” (Hebrews 9:25-28) Remember  that they elevate Mary  almost a fourth person of The Trinity, calling her Queen of Heaven, which is same name as a false goddess Ashteroth Queen of Heaven in Jeremiah Chapter 44. Remember that Catholics are Prima Scriptura, they believe the Teachings of Jesus and His Apostles are on same level as their doctrines in Catechism, Canon Law, Roman Missel, Councils like Trent, which all contradict the words of Jesus and His apostles! 

It is imperative to safeguard The Truth, and cut off the head of the serpent: which means know The Bible well, hold fast to your simple and pure devotion to Christ, do not fall for the ecumenism/ outreach/ counter-reformation reborn, and do not allow the doctrines, practices, idolatries, talismans, and etc from Rome into your hearts and homes!
