Carnage in Congo: Christians Cut Down

In the Democratic Republic of Congo (not to be confused with Republic of Congo) fifty (50) people were murdered by Muslim radicals known as Muslim Defense International. The report states that these Muslims broke through the lines of military and began cutting the throats of citizens who were Christians, "Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., the enemy managed to get past army positions and kill peaceful residents in their homes, slashing their throats," local administrator Bernard Amisi Kalonda told Agence France-Press after the May 4 attack." (http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/world/2016/may/islamic-jihadists-massacre-dozens-of-congolese-christians). This atrocity has shaken the faith of many in Congo, "The constant violence in a region of the Congo that is more than 95 percent Christian has forced many to flee. The threat of bloodshed has even forced Church on the Rock to shut down its missions and schools. 'We are heartbroken, questioning our faith, half-terrified, but determined and carrying on," Church on the Rock's founder Mike Anticoli told World Watch Monitor. "We may be targeted due to the fact that we train local leaders and aspiring missionaries from several churches and denominations." (cbn.news). The Congonese may soon find themselves like the Syrian Christian refugees fleeing the Islamic terrorist group ISIS.

This wave of genocide is sweeping across the world. The martyrs are staining the ground with their blood. Jesus Christ has words for those in Congo who have died for their faith, "When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had been martyred for the word of God and for being faithful in their testimony. They shouted to the Lord and said, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us? Then a white robe was given to each of them. And they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of their brothers and sisters--their fellow servants of Jesus who were to be martyred--had joined them." (Revelation 6:9-11). To my Congo brethren in Christ, those who have been cut down now join the rest of those robed in white in the Presence of Christ. In fact, this terrible tragedy is a fulfillment of these verses, for it says, "And they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of their brothers and sisters--their fellow servants of Jesus who were to be martyred--had joined them." (Revelation 6:11). There is a promise for those who have been lost to blade of these evil men, "Like them, the one who is victorious will be clothed in white garments. And I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and His angels." (Revelation 3:5). Those fifty who were felled by foul men have promise that they shall never be "blot out of the book of Life" and they have gained honor in sight of Christ, The Father, and even the angels! While this certainly cannot assuage the mourning in full over losing these brave souls, it is comfort to know they are with the Lord Jesus and clothed in honor, and that they fulfilled Scripture.

I pray for our brothers and sisters in Congo. That Christ may uphold those whose faith is shaken over this tragedy. It is my wish that the words in the Revelation of Jesus Christ (Book of Revelation) contained in this post could be given to them, so that they may know their family members and friends were not felled for nothing, that they actually fulfilling prophecy (Revelation 6:11). This does not mean mourning must abate or cease, but rather take it as comfort that those who were cut down by the hands of Crescent shall be clothed in white and confessed by Christ before The Father and Angels! (Revelation 3:5). Should these words reach those who have lost loved ones in this massacre, I extol you with the words of Christ, "I will never blot out his name from the book of life.." (Revelation 3:5). Those you love are in heaven with Holy Trinity, angels, and saints! They will join the other martyrs and wait for the day when Christ will avenge them! For your family will be avenged and the martyrs will join in vengeance of God Almighty, "He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head (Jesus, Revelation 1:18). He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God (Jesus' name in John 1:1-5,11).  The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses. The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses. And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty.  And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh: King of kings and Lord of lords." (Revelation 19:12-16). Notice the armies joining Jesus in His wrath against the nations are clothed in same pure white as the martyrs (Revelation 3:5, and Revelation 6:11)! That means those fifty who died in the Congo for their faith hall be coming back with Christ to judge! They will get revenge with the Redeemer leading them! So your family or friends who were lost in this tragedy, will be coming back in triumph! They were chosen out for this great reckoning! This goes for other martyrs in Syria, Iran, China, and more.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
