Jesus said, "In those days there will be false christs, and false prophets, and they will do signs and wonders to deceive if possible the elect." (Matthew 24:24). In today's churches and society were are seeing a false Jesus emerging, one that is called the Post Modern Jesus. This false Christ is in everyway the antithesis, and opposite of the True Christ presented in the Holy Bible. Where Jesus Christ sits on throne of "mercy and justice," the Post Modern Jesus only has mercy. Where Jesus is God (Col 2:9) and Man (1 John), the Post Modern Jesus is only a man promoted to deity. The Post Modern Jesus affirms Humanism, Narcissism (self focused, selfishness), Human will over God's Will, comfort, feel good emotions, and mysticisms that cannot be found in many passages of the Bible. The True Biblical Jesus Christ affirms Holiness, Selflessness, God's Will over Man's will, self control, goodness, and messages of love, justice, kindness, Truth, hope, and punishment for the wicked.
The Post Modern Jesus is an aberration, a distortion and corruption of who Christ is to fit the appetites, desires, propensities, and lusts of mankind today. Men unwillingly to conform to Christ Jesus and Biblical standards decide to change who God is, and so it is written, "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear." (2 Timothy 4:3). Post Modernists cannot tolerate the real Jesus Christ because He proclaims things they find uncomfortable, "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me," (John 14:6), "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves (deny selfish desires) and take up their cross and follow me," (Matthew 16:24), "Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me," (Luke 9:23), "And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple," (Luke 14:27), "Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved," (Mark 13:13), "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world," (John 16:33), and "And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore." (Hebrews 13:13). None of these Scriptures, which are merely a taste of the Biblical Jesus, fit the Post Modern Jesus being preached by the Universalists, Ecumenical Movement, or the Coaltion of Religions.
The Post Modern Jesus is changeable, because he is the invention of men. This false Christ can change because in Post Modernism, you make your own reality and believe what you want to believe, "everyone is right, nobody is wrong, no one is right." This allows all religions to come together under the banner of Post Modernism, but the True Jesus Christ in the Bible is changeless, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever," (Hebrews 13:8), and He is changeless because He made everything, "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made," (John 1:3) and "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him." (Colossians 1:15-16). Christ Jesus made everything, including man, thus man cannot shape the Creator! The Creation is not greater than the Creator, and we mere mortal man are only immortal and eternal through believing and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and God (Romans 10:9, John 3:16).
The Post Modern Jesus is an endeavor to water down the gospel, to change it, and to promote a false Christ (Matthew 24:24) and probably will be used to usher in the antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). The apostle Paul warns what will become of those who distort the gospel that is written in the Holy Scriptures, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!" (Galatians 1:8), "For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily," (2 Corinthians 11:4), "I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist," (2 John 1:7), "Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist--denying the Father and the Son," (1 John 2:22), "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world," (1 John 4:1), "But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here," (1 John 4:3), "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily," (Colossians 2:9), and "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him." (Colossians 1:15-16).
Be wary of the winds of false doctrine that are stirring in these times. It is paramount that you study the Holy Bible (NLT, Interlinear, ESV, and KJV; other translations are being watered down). Hold fast to what Scripture, the words in Bible say! More than ever we need to follow Solae Scriptura (Scripture Alone) and cease this popular Prima Scriptura (Scripture and Tradition) that pervades in churches and is preached from the pulpit. We must test every wind of doctrine, spirit, person, message, and even the Jesus being presented with the Holy Bible! Even signs and wonders, feelings, emotions, and senses need to be tested with Scripture, for it is written, "Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism (pious self-denial, false humility) and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind." (Colossians 2:18, ESV). Sensuous is the proper word, which means, "1) relating to or affecting the senses rather than the intellect," but most Bible translations use the second definition, "2) attractive or gratifying physically, especially sexually." The first definition is correct, because Paul is talking about Monastic habits, mysticism, and pennace (hardships on the body for eternal merit) which are painful to body not pleasurable physically or sexual.

I believe those following the post modern Jesus will receive this rebuke from the Real Biblical Jesus who is soon to Return, "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's laws (Laws/Commands see: Matt 22:37-39, John 13:34, John 13:35, John 15:12)" (Matthew 7:22-23), "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!," (Luke 13:26-27), "Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from," (Luke 13:25), "But he answered, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you," (Matthew 25:12), and "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19'Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." (Revelation 3:15-21, Message to Church of Laodicea).
Be on the alert, study your Bible (2 Timothy 3:16), Know the real Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21-23), and Keep Watch for Christ's Return (Matthew 24:42, Matthew 25:13).
