The Color of God

In Western culture we are taught to associate red with rage, fury, anger, lust, and power. Villians in our films and video games often wear red, or combination of black and red like Darth Maul. This conditioning of association, making children to adults believe red is bad and blue is good is Satanic. For the Scriptures actually tell us that God is red. Behold, "The One seated there looked like jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow gleaming like an emerald encircled the throne." (Revelation 4:3). The Almighty is described in appearance like jasper a red stone, and carnelian a red mineral. We then read Jesus Christ who is fullness of the Godhead in bodily form (Col 2:9) is clothed in red first at his Crucifixion and second at His Second Coming, "Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole Roman cohort around Him. They stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!," (Matthew 27:27-29), and "And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God (John 1:1). And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." (Revelation 19:11-16).

God on the throne is described in red hues, and Christ who is God wears red because it is the color of life. All mankind has a red substance that carries cells and  keeps their bodies alive, this substance or liquid is called blood. The Lord says of blood, "For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life." (Leviticus 17:11). In blood is life, but Jesus is Life, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.." (John 14:6). Through Jesus all life comes, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it," (John 1:1-5) and "The Preeminence of Christ. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross." (Colossians 1:15-20). If life is in the blood (Lev 17:11) and Jesus is Life, then that means blood comes from God! We have within us a desposit of God himself, and like God's image it is red. We read early that God appears as jasper and carnelian (ruby), which are red and that when He came in flesh He wore Scarlet at His Crucifixion and that at His return He shall wear a robe dipped in blood (Revelation 19:13). We are told the New Jerusalem, the City we shall live in for eternity is made of Jasper, "And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,  having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal." (Revelation 21:10-12). All this red imagery is associated with God and we carry in our bodies the very color of our Lord. It is fitting then that God to save us from sin, had to shed His own blood and to use that same color again to cleanse us once for all from wickedness, "And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's condemnation," (Romans 5:9), "He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins," (Ephensians 1:7, NLT), and "and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:12-14).

The Apostle John even urges the importance that Jesus came not by water alone but blood too, "This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth." (1 John 5:6). Why is this so important to John? Because blood comes from God, it is miraculous substance that appears at conception. Blood comes from God, and because Jesus Christ is God and comes from His Father who is God, it is important blood was involved! Why do you think in the Old Testament sprinkling with blood sanctified people so they could approach God? "Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words," (Exodus 24:8) and "they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself. Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Israel; and they saw God, and they ate and drank; eating and drinking in his presence!" (Exodus 24:10-11, NIV-NLT). The elders with Moses and Aaron were able to see God and eat in His presence because they had been sprinkled by the cleansing blood! Thus blood allowed them to be close to God? Why? The mystery is beyond us, but since I have established blood comes from God because He is life, and life is in the Blood, then it makes it possible to be close to God as well; back then it required sacrifices of animals, but now we have Blood that is greater, that has already been spilt and covers us always, the Blood of Jesus Christ, the ultimate sacirice, "and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:12-14) and "For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate." (Hebrews 13:11-12). T

The color of God's description (Revelation 4:3), His Blood, of Life (Leviticus 17:11) who is Christ (John 14:6), and the robes God Incarnate wears was (Matt 27:28) and will be red (Revelation 19:13) . This is why I believe  many people are so drawn to red. It has captivated people for eons, the Romans wearing it and calling it the color of spirituality, and in their ignorance they were actually right! But the devil is not content to let God keep this color to Himself, he the great thief  (John 10:10) has stolen it and wears it as well, "Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads, Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who "will rule all the nations with an iron scepter," (Revelation 12:3-4), and "The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." (Revelation 12:4). The fallen angels seek to mock God by trying to claim His color as their own, they wear red to deceive people as they did in Genesis 6:2-7 and to mock the Lord. It says Harlot Babelyon is clade in red, "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth." (Revelation 17:4-5).

The devil and the harlot want to mimic the Almighty. In Revelation 13, there is an unholy triad of the dragon (devil), Beast of Sea (Man of Sin/Antichrist), and the Beast of Earth (False Prophet) all of which end up in Lake of Fire, Second Death (Revelation 20:10). Our enemy, and his forces of darkness want to pollute what is sacred and the color red comes from God as blood, and He is described as red, Jasper and Ruby! The evil one and his fallen angels have with the help of Hollywood tried to taint the color red in our minds and make us revile it, believing it is associated with evil. The devil for the last thirty years has been depicted as completely red, when in history he was always seen as black (representing darkness 1 Peter 2:9) or green (Medieval), and in Bible he is in splendid gems and gold (Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14).

Notice how Red is first three letters of Redeemer who is Jesus Christ! Red is the color of God and the devil wants to taint our perception of this color through lies in movies, pop culture, other false religions, and more. But our enemy cannot stop the yearning, the draw and pull many have to this color which is life (blood), not death, and Jesus Christ is Life (John 14:6) and the Ressurection Life (John 11:25-26). Life is in the Blood (Leviticus 17:15) and Christ who is Life spilt His blood so that all who believe in Him shall not perish and go to fire hell, but have eternal life (John 3:16, Romans 10:9). Chirst is coming back in a robe dipped in Blood, are you covered in His blood of forgiveness for all sins and assurance of salvation and seal that allows you to be in presence of God Almighty, the Divine Trinity? If not, Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins and ask Him to wash you with eternal life that he purchased via His blood on the cross for you and that He may fill you with more than Life, but Ressurection Life also! Amen!

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These w

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come and died for our sins an

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few people are endeavo
