Holidays vs. Holydays

St. Patties Day is coming and already retail corporations are commercializing it. It is quite appalling how every holiday in Christendom has been secularized. Christmas is about Santa the Genie, Easter about a Bunny, Valentine's Day about chocolates and sex, and St. Patrick's Day getting drunk with ale.  I wonder if anyone who celebrates St. Patties Day even remembers that St. Patrick purged Ireland of the serpents (demons) and unified the country in Christianity. Just like Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day it is about selling a product. We as Christians have let humanistic people take our holidays and taint them with depravity and debauchery. Christmas is suppose to be a celebration of Christ being born, his birthday. Instead it's about getting presents and worshiping Santa, which ironically unscrambled spells Satan. Valentine's Day which was to remember a saint who died defying Caesar who said no one may marry has become about gluttony ...

Sons of Suffering

There are two godly generations who have been subjected to genocide throughout history. These Generations are Christians and Jews. In WWII, " 12 Million Christians and 7 Million Jews were  slaughtered in the horrific Holocaust." (Rosemary Schindler). In Armenia, during the Ottoman Empire 1 Million Christian Armenians were rounded up and annihilated. We are the people of the Book. In every age we are targeted for extermination. We are brothers in blood. Regimes rise to ravage us, but still we survive. We differ in our beliefs about the Messiah, but we are a family forged in suffering. The Communists hated us and so did the Romans. Emperor Nero and Caligula made martrys of the Early Christians (est. 100,000 total killed ); while Emperor Titus made martrys of the Zionist Jews ( est . 1,000,700-1,500,000 killed ). We have fought and died together. This is fitting because in the beginning we were tru...

Mixed Fire

So many brothers and sisters are playing with mixed fire. They are submitting to the Holy Spirit in some areas of their life and then to the spirit of the Evil One in other areas. Christ Jesus himself said, "You can serve only one of two masters, you will love one and hate the other." (Matt 6:24). There is no middle ground. You either give all of yourself to the Son of God or you become dominated by devils. I am appalled at how many Christians think that they can practice their faith and still erect idols and harbor amulets like dream catchers, tikis, pentangles, pentagrams, oriental dragon guardians, and etc in their homes. God is a jealous God and if you believe you can "sweep fire into your lap and not be burned," then you are in for a rude awakening. Why is Christ not enough? Hmm? Why do believers feel compelled to mix in pagan traditions and philosophies into the purity of God's Gospel? Why have the children taken their eyes off the Father and...

September 11th, 1565 and 2001

Jean Parisot de la Valette In 1565, the Islands of Malta and Rhodes were defended by the Knights of St. John (The evolution of The Knights Hospitallers). The Ottoman Turks with an army of et 40,000 laid siege to Rhodes and captured it. Under the leadership of 49th Grandmaster, Jean Parisot de la Valette, 6,000 men at arms fortified Malta and fought the Turks. On September 11th, the Knights of St. John and Christian Militia held their ground and the Turks losing all taste for battle retreated and returned to their provinces across the sea. This victory against the Ottomans was once celebrated and remembered by all Christians. It's importance has been forgotten. If the defenses at Malta had failed, the Turks would have swept across the West and turned Europe and later the Americas into Islamic states. Christianity would have been purged and the world would be a very different and I argue dismal place. The odds against the Knights of Malta were incredible. Fo...

Les Misérables: Law vs. Love -A Review

SPOILER ALERT! You've Been Warned. There is a common custom to read a book first and then see the film. I do not practice this convention and it turns out to be a blessing when I see the adaptation first and then read the book. This is the case with Les Misérables . The latest adaptation of the famous Victor Hugo book is actually based on the play. It is a musical. For some this maybe a deterrent, but it really shouldn't be. Les Misérables certainly surprised me. I had no notion of what the story was about save for that it was taking place during The French Revolution and that the protagonist Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) is taking care of child named Cozette and that he is being hunted by the police inspector Javart (Russell Crowe). Let me dispense with the praising of the performances. The musical score is fantastic! Every song is preformed with excellence and by the actors themselves no less! Hugh Jackman does a brilliant job of showing the...

The War on Christ, Christians, and Christmas

Behold my brothers and sisters, the day of great suffering and persecution has come. A war is being waged by the Secular Progressives and Staunch Atheists against Christians and the holiday Christmas. In Florida, Governor Chaffie has refused to recognize the Evergreen Tree as a Christmas Tree and has instead called it a Holiday Tree. In Pittsburgh, a Church is being harassed about their worship. Those offended say they can hear it out on street and they are threatening to sue if the music isn't changed to a softer and more silent style. In the Sudan, Muslims are continuing their genocide of the Christians and now a war has begun between them. In some public schools here in the States praying and Bibles are being outlawed, even though it violates the First Amendment. It is clear that a war has been started against Christ and anything tied to him. Persecution has returned and like the Early Christians, we are going to need to be prepared for what...

The Price of Priesthood

There are many in God's flock that take a salary to minster his Word. Preachers, pastors, priests, popes, bishops, cardinals, and minsters. These men have sworn themselves to the service of the Savior. They are supported by the saints and given a salary to sustain their livelihood. However, the question is if this is just? Paying priests has existed since the Levite Priesthood. Originally, the Israelites would tithe a portion of their grain, oxen, or commodity to the Temple. The priests would take a share to live on, while storing the rest in houses for famine and other catastrophes. Today we do much of the same, only the clergy doesn't put a portion aside for the security of the sons of God. Can you imagine if your Church were to take the collected tithe and put it in an account for emergencies? If a brother or sister in the Lord were in dire straights, revenue could be requisitioned and given to them from the store house or account. It would be money put to much better us...
