New Pope New Hope! Pope Leo XIV Elected!

A New Pappa has been elected! The First ever American Pope, Pope Leo XIV has become the Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church! This is a historic moment! He is a Conservative, which means he is a Traditionalist and will likely not follow in Pope Francis' more progressive path. The name Leo means Lion, and it is my supreme hope that he will show forth the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) side of Jesus, and deal with the corruption and scandals that have rocked the Church of Rome in recent years!

His first words were to emphasize, "God loves all without prejudice," and that "evil will not prevail," and "that missionary work is the call he is making." So it is clear that he is man who feels the Great Commission is key, which makes sense since he was Missionary to Peru. He made mention of Charity (love in action) many times, which alludes to the Apostle James' words of, " What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.." (James 2:14-17). I love this balance of  this Pope in Love, Truth, and Missionary Work: "God so loves the world," (John 3:16), "God is Love," (1 John 4:8) with justice, "love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth," (1 Corinthians 13:6), and the call to make disciples, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).

I predicted that we would get a Conservative Pope because the Youth who are coming to faith in Christ need dogma, need holy tradition, and stability. And so they have gotten that Pappa! It is my sincerest hope that this Pontiff will stand against the tide that is trying to sweet away the Truth by Post Modern morals and Popular Cultural pressures. He is a Lion indeed, who on the Seat of St. Peter will help The Protestant World fight against Abortion, and against godlessness, though in tenderness, mercy, and love. We need a Lion in Rome at this time, to defend the Holy See, and 1 Billion plus people from the encroaching falsehoods that are rearing their head. It is my supreme hope he will be Ad Fontes Pope, Back to the Sources, back to the Tradition of the Fathers, and not allow modern sensibilities to alter the Church.

I would be remiss not to talk about this being the first American Pope, something that seemed impossible. He is from Chicago, and so to celebrate we all should eat Chicago Deep Dish Pizza! Haha. The fact he is American means we probably will get addresses in English, since Francis having been Argentinian spoke his native tongue, and Italian. It really is quite a moment in history, that the Colonies, the Fifty States for the first time have a Pappa from their land! During JFK people feared the Pope would influence him, and well now the opposite probably will be feared, that a US Pope will be influenced by the Administration.

I do want to mention that Pope Leo XIV said he is a Son of Augustine, of the Augustinian Order. This is important because St. Augustine did preach Grace closer to Protestantism, and Martin Luther himself was an Augustinian Monk. This is in stark contrast to Pope Francis I who was a Jesuit. It is my supreme hope that this Pope will lead the Church of Rome closer and closer to Christ and His Gospel, Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
