The God Delusion Examined

I was brave, yesterday I opened up a copy of renowned atheist Richard Dawkins and began to read. Dawkins asserts “that a supreme creator God does not exist, and a personal deity is a delusion.” (Richard Dawkins, Wikipedia). In his book The God Delusion, he reveals his bias early on. He says that he decided not to take on all gods, but specifically The Monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam,  and then says “but since I only know about Christianity from experience,  I will focus on that one.” Right out the gate Dawkins reveals he is an antichrist. He does not have the integrity to take on all the gods, all the religions,  just the Monotheistic three specifically Christianity. He asserts Buddhism is a philosophy not a faith, which is an insult to Buddhists since in Buddhism there are wrathful deities (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrathful_deities), and adherents believe it is a religion not a mere philosophy.

Dawkins major attack of Christianity is that because Jesus’ genealogies in Matthew and Luke contradict, that there are more names in one bloodline proves its made up. If Dawkins had a rudimentary knowledge of genealogy, archaeology, and history, he’d known the genealogy of Christ in Matthew is Joseph’s bloodline, while the one in Luke is Mary’s bloodline, so there are going to be differences, because Mary and Joseph came from different families! What truly matters is Mary’s line because Jesus’ body was formed in her womb and conceived by the Holy Spirit, “In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. [31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. [32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, [33] and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.” (Luke 1:26-35). And the providence of the Holy Trinity is that nowadays, Jews only consider someone a Jew by the maternal bloodline, and so Jesus being from David’s line is assured even by today’s Jewish standards!

Dawkins is an antichrist claiming to be an atheist. His admonition that he will only take on the three monotheistic faiths, and really only Christianity shows his agenda is against Christ. He does not have the courage to take on all gods, to try and deconstruct all theism, it is one faith in particular he has his cross hairs on and its Christianity.  This bias invalidates his work, it should be titled The Christ Delusion, not the God Delusion, a anti-Case For Christ, he is the anti-Lee Strobel, and has not the honesty to admit. His case against our Lord Jesus is based on bad assertions, straw arguments, and obvious partial anti-sermonizing. He clearly hates Christ and the Church, but in his ire he is blinded to how weak his arguments are, he says Paul invented Christianity.. uh most atheists and non-believing historians admit Jesus existed and was a moral teacher, so him claiming its Paul proves he is on his own soap box without facts. Jesus is asserted to have lived, Josephus, and Tacitus record that Jesus lived, and his sect. Historians today agree Jesus lived and was crucified, “Craig Blomberg states that most scholars in the third quest for the historical Jesus consider the crucifixion indisputable. Christopher M. Tuckett states that, although the exact reasons for the death of Jesus are hard to determine, one of the indisputable facts about him is that he was crucified.” (Crucifixion of Jesus, Wikipedia). So if our gospels in Bible which claim Jesus was crucified are proved true by secular scholarship, how much more can it be trusted Jesus taught, and started Christianity, not Paul!

Dawkins fails because wisdom and knowledge are in Christ, “Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2-3). He has turned his back on the well of wisdom. I urge we pray for Him, that like Lee Strobel, he realizes the truth that Jesus is real, Jesus is God, and faith in Him will give any who believe in Him eternal life. Amen.

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
