One Way

We are living in a pluralistic, universalistic, and post-modern world that wants people to be politically correct, and say "everyone is right." The pressure to compromise the Gospel, to dilute it to "a way" rather than "The Way" is going to be one of the many measures to determine in this century what a true Christian really is. The truth is plain and simple, there is only One Way to God, One Way to Heaven, One Way to gain eternal life (immorality), and One Way to be holy, that is through Jesus Christ, "Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). The ladder, the stairway to heaven is through Son of Man, Jesus Christ himself, "Then he said, "I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth." (John 1:51). The way to eternal life, and being raised from dead at last day is through Jesus Christ, "For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day." (John 6:40). Jesus Christ is the Son of God, "After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” (Matthew 3:16-17). Jesus is One with the Father, "I and Father are One (essence, together)" (John 10:30), "Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it," (John 14:8-14), "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me," (John 17:20-22). Jesus is the fullness of Godhead (Trinity) in a body, He is God, "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body./For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily," (Colossians 2:9), "For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross" (Colossians 1:19-20), "looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus," (Titus 2:13), "Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours," (2 Peter 1:1), "No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father's side, has made Him known," (John 1:18), "Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him. Not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God," (John 5:18), and "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John *testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’” For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." (John 1:1-5, 14-18).

There is only One Way to God and that is through God, Jesus Christ. All other paths, all other religions are dead ends, like in a maze. Only Jesus is the Guide, the Key, the Gate that allows us to enter paradise and be with God the Trinity, "According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the [Holy] Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you." (1 Peter 1:2). The pressure to compromise this message is strong, I have seen as an ad campaign at LifeWay stores (which I support and enjoy shopping at) the slogan, "The Way, The Truth, and the Life.." A catchy slogan like WWJD: What Would Jesus Do? But I imagine someone in ad department of Life Way made sure to not finish the verse with, "No one can come to the Father except through me." No doubt there are even Bibles now being translated to obscure, and even water down this Truth, and create new doctrines from demons (1 Timothy 4:1), and to fufill the words of the Apostle Paul, "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths." (1 Timothy 4:2-3). We must stand firm and not let the culture and this century try to drown out the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Do not conform to the world, but be transformed! (Romans 12:2).

Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved, "It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:10. 12). It is through Him alone, His sacrifice on the cross, His blood (Revelation 12:11), that we may enter the holiest place (Hebrews 10:19-20), ascend into heaven on are last earthly breath (Philippians 1:23), or be gathered at His Second Coming (Matthew  24:31, Revelation 20:12-13). Those who would compromise this Truth aren't Christians, but false apostles, who like Satan disguise themselves as messengers of light (2 Corinthians 11:11-15), when in truth they are full of darkness (Matthew 6:23). Right now there is an all out war going on against our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While religions that promote caste systems with no hope of advancement, works based systems, and even violence against other humans are protected and even endorsed by the Media, Christ and His Message, and His Folllowers are undersiege. The reason is that devil is hard at work against Our God and Savior Jesus Christ's Kingdom. In United States, Christians are second class citizens, with their right to worship and follow their faith in Jesus in public being censored despite the censoring violating the 1 Amendment of the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. In the Middle East fellow partisans of Christ are burchered, imprisoned, and subjected to every kind of torture. In Asia they are censored, and arrested for simply having a Bible and meeting. But take heart, the Only Way to Heaven, Jesus Christ fortold all of this, "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole [g]world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other." (Matthew 24:9-14, 30). Persecution is part of the process (Revelation 14:12), for if our Lord Jesus was subjected to censorship, toruture, and agonizing death on cross, how much more us believers? (John 15:18-25 1 Peter 4:1, Hebrews 13:12-13). We must hold fast to the One Way, to Jesus, and so develop a love and relationship with Him, and rest of Trinity that we will endure whatever comes at us in this life so that we may be with Christ in paradise both now and in future (Revelation 21:1-53).

There is only One Way to Heaven, and One way to know the True God, that is through the True God Jesus Christ Himself. All other paths are broad path of death, "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it" (Matthew 7:13) and the way, or stairway to holy of holies and the eternal God is narrow path, "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:14). That narrow path is Jesus, who is the  only Way (John 14:6). Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
