Corruption

The world is corrupt and evil. The prince of this world is the devil (John 12;31, 14:30), and thus Jesus Christ our God and Savior told us, "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (John 15:19). Alas the corruption has infected the church itself, I contacted CBN/700 Club about the trust in politicians and men, citing verses such as, "The LORD says, "I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD." (Jeremiah 17:5), and "But Jesus didn't trust them, because he knew human nature, and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man." (John 2:24-25). The response I received was "your feelings matter to Pat Robertson and us at CBN/700 Club." I wrote back, "These aren't my feelings, these are God's feelings recorded in the Scriptures!" Injustice has taken hold, and many in the church fold are joining the Lawlessness that is already at work (2 Thessalonians 2:). In my own quarters, I have been subjected to infringements on my religious liberties, health, and beyond; the police do nothing, they support the harassment. O woe! for the words of Prophet Micah, the Apostle Paul, and Jesus Christ Himself are coming true1:

"-I’m overwhelmed with sorrow!
sunk in a swamp of despair!
I’m like someone who goes to the garden
to pick cabbages and carrots and corn
And returns empty-handed,
finds nothing for soup or sandwich or salad.
There’s not a decent person in sight.
    Right-living humans are extinct.
They’re all out for one another’s blood,
    animals preying on each other.
They’ve all become experts in evil.
    Corrupt leaders demand bribes.
The powerful rich
make sure they get what they want.
The best and brightest are thistles.
The top of the line is crabgrass.
But no longer: It’s exam time.
Look at them slinking away in disgrace!
Don’t trust your neighbor,
    don’t confide in your friend.
Watch your words,
    even with your spouse.
Neighborhoods and families are falling to pieces.
The closer they are—sons, daughters, in-laws—
The worse they can be.
Your own family is the enemy.

But me, I’m not giving up.
I’m sticking around to see what God will do.
I’m waiting for God to make things right.
I’m counting on God to listen to me." (Micah 7:3-7).

Jesus Christ our God and Savior says the same:

"Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father,
    a daughter against her mother,
and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36     Your enemies will be right in your own household!’
37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine." (Matthew 10:34-37). The Lord Jesus actually had to cut off His family because they attacked Him, "And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He is out of his mind," (Mark 3:21), and later when these family members (sons and daughters of Mary and Joseph, Matthew 1:25) came to see Jesus He responded thus, "Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. 32 There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, “Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.”33 Jesus replied, Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” 34 Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers. 35 Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mark 3:31-35).

The Apostle Paul gives us bleak look at human nature in the future:

"You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" (1 Timothy 3:1-5).

The corruption is at work my brothers and sisters. Richard Wurmbrand, a man who was tortured for Christ, drugged for, beaten, and imprisoned was turned into the Gestapo of Romania. His wife was also put to torture, and in mining camp of extreme hardship. When their son was allowed to meet with his mother, the guards allowed the mother to say three words. She said to her son, "love Jesus alone." Indeed, we see that no one will be trustworthy in last days, your dearest friend, your kin, and even your spouse will be a threat if they are not resolved to love Jesus Alone. Humanity is descending into anarchy towards God and all authority, so that the Man of Lawlessness will rise to bring peace and deceive the nations (2 Thessalonians 2:1-11, Revelation 13:1-18). People are not getting better, many are becoming more corrupt, even those who dare call themselves Christians act like anything but. Those who cry, "we are Bible college," and "we are Scripture Alone," compromise the Scriptures to meet tastes, culture, and ultimately to help bottom line of making money. I know I shall become more and more unpopular stating this, but John Baptist was unpopular with King Herod's Agrippa's household, and Jesus Christ the Lord God who came in body, died for our sins, and rose from dead, ascended, and is coming back was hated by the religious elite (Pharisees, Sadducees) and betrayed by a disciple (Judas), Peter, the crowds of Jerusalem, and more.

The Church is becoming corrupted by its love of money (I have written plenty on this, see the the blog posts, Matthew 6:24). I am watching how for greed, and trust in men, the church is putting aside tenants of the faith, and violating the words of Christ and His Apostles. They truly have fallen under the spell, "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4). The myths are the Prosperity gospel/doctrine, Seeker Friendly Movement, Faith/Name it and Claim it Movement, Ecumenism in the Universalist sense. The Scriptures are being watered down. "The Constitution of Heaven," is the Bible, and just as Constitution in the Americas is being eroded, ignored, and changed, so people are trying to change the Constitution of the New Testament to fit immoralities of every kind, because it benefits Christian institutions to make money, and in truth they want to be liked by celebrities and the world at large.
Take heed O Church, brothers and sisters in Christ. The slippery slope starts with only a few drops of water (watering down your faith, the Bible and Christian living).

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
