After the Age of Reason which introduced non-theist world views of Secular Humanism, Darwinism, and Atheism, it seemed highly unlikely the gods of ancient Greece, Rome, Nordic Countries, Amazon, Egypt, and beyond would return en masse except for in revivals of ancient plays that used their names. For a long time Hollywood depicted these gods as inventions or the spirituality of feeble minded peoples. Rome often in films like Cleopatra, Quo Vadis, and even The Robe was seen less pious, that their devotion to the gods was half hearted with many skeptics. Now the paradigm has completely shifted. The gods are vogue again with Wonder Woman (Diana is Wonder Woman's name, the name of Ashteroth Queen of Heaven is also Diana/ISIS/Venus/Artemis, see Jeremiah 44), Marvel's Avenger films and the Thor Trilogy depicting the Norse gods of Olden, Loki, and Thor, the attempt at Egyptian theology with Gods of Egypt that failed because of an all Caucasian cast, the return of New Age and Occultism in The Hobbit Trilogy, Transformers: The Last Knight, the straight Luceferianism of Lucifer Series, and many other shows and films, all depicting these gods and principalities as powerful, heroic, and inspiring. Paralleling this return of the mythologies is genuine piety. Neo-Paganism is on the rise with New Age, Hinduism (Yoga at least be part of most lives, Yoga is to be yoked to Brahmin, a god of Hinduism), Occult, and other mysticism of ancient civilizations. It is hard to believe after a long period of people rejecting a higher power, they are now in droves reviving every false religion of the Greeks, Romans, Amazon, Egypt, and beyond.
These gods are not gods, but the third of angels that followed Lucifer/Satan in a rebellion against the One True God and his angels in Heaven (see Revelation 12:4-12, Ezekiel 28:11-19). The gods seen crafted in stone, wood, and clay are actually the images of the fallen angels who sinned and mated with human women creating demons (see Genesis 6:4-15). The Books of Enoch found in Dead Sea Scrolls details this sinful period of Angelic and Human interaction that God detests and said, "So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth" (Genesis 6:6-7). The Lord was so angry over this abomination of angels and humans breeding with each other, that He decided to destroy all living things with The Flood, so we know then how the One True God feels about interaction between the fallen angels and man, what do you think we feels about us being entertained by the fallen angel mythologies? The mythologies we all have grown up with, Jason and Argonauts, Heraclius, and so forth are all the fallen angels and their children (half breeds, Nephilim). The mythologies are the fallen angel's perspectives, and an attempt to deceive men into believe they are gods, when they are cursed and condemned to pit of hell, "Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." (Matthew 25:41). And yet they are making a comeback in popularity both in the media and religion, why? Well Jesus Christ the One True God actually says this will happen! He tells us that in last days it will be like days of Noah, "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man." (Luke 17:26) and "For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." (Matthew 24:37). The Lord makes it clear that it shall be like days of Noah at His Second Coming, in the last days if you read full context of the those two chapters. Well we are told that all this angelic and human pair bbonding and interbreeding was transpiring on during days of Noah, "In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times. The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” 8 But Noah found favor with the Lord." (Genesis 6:5-8). So we see what Days of Noah was like, and when Jesus Christ says at His Second Coming it will be as the days of Noah, then we may discern that before Jesus returns the sons of God (fallen ones) will re-emerge and become popular again, which is happening right now with Marvel, DC Comics, and other companies inserting the sons of god in everything.
Interestingly, we are told most terrible of these fallen angels were placed in holding cell and pit, "For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment," (2 Peter 2:4), "And the angels who did not stay within their own domain, but abandoned their proper dwelling, He keeps under darkness, in eternal chains for judgment on that great day," (Jude 1:6). However, the last book of Bible actually tells us the holding place will be opened up, "He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads." (Revelation 9:2-4). It is unclear if this pit being opened in John's vision is the same one the fallen angels are stored in for judgement. "being held for day of Judgement" can fall into two contexts, either they wait to be judged or they will be part of God's judgement on earth, an examples is the angels in Euphrates River who come up and slaughter man (Revelation 9:13-16, notice this is same chapter as pit).
It is clear the Neo-Paganism, New Age, and ancient religions that follow pantheons of Greece, Rome, Egypt, and more are becoming popular against thanks to Disney's Marvel Universe, Stars Wars Episodes VII-IX, and the DC Universe alone, not to mention all the other films and shows that highlight the mythologies. Even C.S. Lewis, a Christian, revived the Greek Mythologies with His Narnia Chronicles, and a Catholic named J.R.R. Tolkien not only revived the Norse mythologies, but stole his story called The Lord of the Rings from the Norse Ring Saga, and made compilation of Norse theology/mythology in his posthumous works The Silmarillion, The Tale of Sigsmund, The Fall of Turin, and his Norse Legend book. Indeed, Middle Earth is what New Age and Black Magic users call the realm they fight, so Middle Earth is a mix of Norse mythology and New Age (see my post Witchraft is Making a Comeback). We shouldn't be surprised at even these two titans, Lewis and Tolkien making evil works to glorify fallen angelic theologies, for J.K. Rowling who wrote Harry Potter is a professed Catholic but her books actually contain real spells according to Witches in Bakersfield CA and she introduces many Egyptian to Wiccan elements. Ann Rice is woman who wrote Interview with a Vampire and other Vampiric books, at one point she supposedly became devout Christian, but has since returned to his "blood sucking" book writing. Just because a Catholic or Christian writes a book, doesn't mean it is safe. Why do you think the Apostle John says, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already." (1 John 4:1-4). Indeed, every mythology, wither Norse/Tolkien, Wiccan, New Age, Hindu, Arabian, Egyptian, Celtic, and beyond is Antichrist because it doesn't profess Jesus Christ as the Holy Bible and we Christians do. Thus it stands to reason J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Ann Rice, J.K. Rowling, Disney, DC Comics, and many others are the false prophets John speaks of and they full of the spirit of the antichrist because their stories are antichrist, that seek to replace Christ in minds and hearts of people with other gods and powers!
As Christians we are told to take everything captive according to Christ, "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5). Why if we are suppose to tear down anything that raises up against the knowledge of God, would we then entertain ourselves with the mythologies and theologies coming from Disney, DC Comics, and beyond that are opinions and arguments against the Truth and Knowledge of God? Are we not to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus?, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think on these things." (Phillippians 4:7-8). For what is True is Jesus (John 14:6), and the myths of Disney, DC Comics, and beyond are false. Alas I am concerned we are reaching the prophecy of the Apostle Paul which foretells, "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths." (2 Timothy 4:3-4). That is the spirit moving today, it even is infecting the Church as whole. People don't want to stand solely on the Bible (Solae Scriptura) anymore, they have become fascinated with myths coming from Disney, Hollywood, Authors, and the Media. The rise of the myths is not be coincidence, but I believe it is an apparatus of the antichrist spirit to get people prepared for his coming (2 Thessalonians 2:1-11, Revelation 13:1-13). Before the Man of Lawlessness (Antichrist) comes against all religions, I believe Satan will deceive people with the pantheons to prepare them for the coming unholy triad (Revelation 13). Right now believers and unbelievers alike are being subject to indoctrination in occulltic, Egyptian, Wiccan, New Age, Norse, and other witchraft and magic. Does not the Church heed Jesus Christ and Paul's warnings?!, "But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist truth], their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death/alt trans: But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death," (Revelation 21:8 AMP and NLT), and "When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery [Including such things as occult practices, witchcraft, worship of evil powers, drug-induced trances], hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life (practicing these ways) will not inherit the Kingdom of God." (Galatians 5:19-21). The Scriptures make it clear, practicing magic or even entertaining it is dangerous ground! For those in Church who are ignorant of how much God hates the mythologies (He sent a Flood Genesis 6:6-7), and how much He detests Magic users (Revelation 21:8) this is the time for you to repent, and He will forgive you (1 John 1:9), just as He forgave sorceries in the Church of Acts, "Many who had believed now came forward, confessing and disclosing their deeds. A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars/And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver. In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power " (Acts 19:18-20). Notice that these former sorcerers threw their books into fire! Also notice that Word of God grew in power, showing that when you caste aside evil and magic, and mythologies Jesus Christ who is Word of God (John 1:1-15, Revelation 19:11-16) shows up in power and leads us into all truth, freedom, and love (John 14:6, 1 John 4:8)! They did not continue to play around with dark arts, and other magic! And for those who read mythologies and are enraptured by Thor, Medusa, Diana, and more; you too are in danger because those are Nephilim and spawns of the Fallen Angels who God so hated that He destroyed them and those spending time with them with a Flood! (Genesis 6:4-15, only Noah and His Family who didn't participate were put on Ark and saved). So come out of mythologies and magic before it is too late my brothers and sisters in Christ! Do not even let yourself be entertained by them, for entertainment leads to enjoyment, enjoyment to enamored, enamored to obsession/worship, and then to apostasy!
Today make a fresh start. If you are or were magic user or mythology writer or mythology fan, today caste your books into fire and have nothing to do with them again. Wither you merely were entertained by tales of magic and mythology or you participated in them with witchcraft and occultism or New Age, confess these sins and turn to Lord Jesus Christ and do them no more. This is your moment to not follow the doomed ones who turn to myths (2 Timothy 4:4) or the doomed magic users (Revelation 21:8). Right now is your chance to follow Jesus Christ The Word of God, The Alpha and Omega, and Creator (John 1:3) without compromise. Do not let yourself be Nicolaitan (see my post: The Nerve of Necolatians: The Cults of the Deeper Knowledge, Spirituality, and Mysteries Examined) or Lukewarm person whom the Lord spews out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16). Do not hesistate, for the time is short. The fact that mythologies and magic is back is proof Jesus words in Luke 17 about the Times of Noah is coming true! Don't wait, but turn away from your sins of magic and mythology, and make the Messiah Jesus Christ your everything, "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you." (Philippians 3:8, 15). Amen.
