Why We Yearn for Past and Cry for the Future: A Pslam of Pendragon

Having recently rewatched  HBO's John Adams series, I find myself greatly concerned for America. The erosion of what made the United States and all Countries great compels us as Christians to seek our Lord Jesus Christ. Christendom is being engulfed by the evils of pluralism, universalism, and abject morality. One finds the heart torn in twain, do I rejoice at the fall of last bastion of freedom as the Antichrist ascends to hasten the return of our Lord Jesus Christ? Or do I lament and pray for mercy, and possibly a delay in our Lord's Coming? Oh the bitter sweet contradiction, the paradox of the soul, to desire resurrection and to desire retribution. How do we navigate such troubled waters as these? For the shadow that now castes itself across the nations is no doubt by the design of our Divine Creator and Savior, to call into effect the prophecies of John's Revelation, The Apocalypse, and yet in same turn one finds a desire to preserve, to ask for leniency on the nations. How bitter this Cup of Apocalypse tastes, and yet down it and Paradise awaits (Revelation 21:1-8). How sweet this Cup of Restoration tastes, and yet within its drops do delay Judgement Day.

The Tempest is aptly so, to tempt us to the same old same old. Should not our compunction be Christ Appearing? Heavy is our double sided heart, one valve cries "delay, and save civilization today!" and the other valve decries, "descend, and destroy civilization today!" For the last command of Revelation doth haunts, "He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20) ought to be our mantra, and yet the serpent of the olden days bids us pray for a return to the quieter days, of Vicarage and candlelight manors of yonder. Perhaps the future has been polluted by the technological innovations. Visions of starships and synthetic food makers has made our hearts yearn not and burn not. Alas, the ages since past pull at the cords of our fragile hearts, whispering"seek ye not the future, for it is feckless, instead caste thine eye, ear, and hart upon the past." Wisdom is sown in such breath, for it is in the past Salvation upon gnarled woven tree was won for thee, every drop of the King's blood ransoming those who do believe. The Holy word, Scripture contains both  past, present, and future state -of our matrimony and estate. For in the Gospels written two thousand hence speak truth that all time does admit and submit, and in the Apocalypse of John the future vents. The Bible is past, present, and future unfolding, for our God is the same wise, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and to the ages (Forever)." (Hebrews 13:8). Thus our hearts longing for past pence is not without recompense, nor tis the future to be scorned as a mistress of calamity. Our hearts do cry for the past because our Savior forged the way into eternity through His gnarled flesh; in like manner our Savior forages a future where His Kingdom shall establish itself and Salvation's final steps will be taken, and hasten us to Him and the New Jerusalem.

Much ado about something. Our divided hearts yearn for ancient days and in same desires Alpha and Omega's Judgement Day. Paradox this is not, but the mark of hearts fashioned in likeness of the Lord, who discards not the Past, but presses forth a Future in His Winepress. We are commanded to Remember (1 Corinthians 11:25), and to Run a race presently, and maintain faith in a Future of trials and tribulation. Upon inspection our disposition tis not feckless and double minded, rather it tis affection for the past glories and mindful of the coming glories. In this way we walk the plain of Past, Present, and Future; for in Past Christ created all things and bore our shame, in present we believe these things and thus make them contemporary, and in future we adore the Coming of our Lord on clouds of heaven to finish His grand plan; the Salvation of Man. Though eternal life be ours through Christ our Lord now and forever more, the sight of His Appearing be the final chapter of God's righteous Judgement. Then unto New Heaven, Earth, and Jerusalem we will be, a city shining with His Light always. Amen.

In plain tounges I say, our faith is past, present, and eternally. The gospel permeates all periods and time, it was accomplished in 33 A.D., and yet burns in each and every century through each Christian beleiver. Christ our Lord and God made all things in past (John 1:3), and makes all things today and tomorrow. Our God, the Trinity wades in spectrum of past, present, and future (2 Peter 3), and thus our hearts which are full of Him do find fondness in the future and past, and present. For Christ is here now, was there then, and will be. The paradox of us wanting the past and the future, is a sign, is evidence that we are indeed made by Ageless/Timeless God, who wrote His words down through Apostles to benefit us even now and in days to come. The One True God, The Lord Father, Son, and Holy Spirit does not divide the world in past, present, and future, but combines them. The Past Age of the Apostles influences our present day when we read the Holy Bible, and yet those same Apostles will judge the Tribes of Israel in the coming age, and we find in their words heaven and God's Word ringing for all ages, telling us what to believe and how to stand firm in the Christian Faith. Christianity is timeless, as Christ is timeless, it is not contained in the Roman Age, nor in this Present Age, but with each saint and Christian is breathes on until Coming of Christ Jesus Himself to issue judgement on the wicked, and just reward to the saints. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
