The Communion of Saints: Updated 1/3/2015

Happy New Year! I recognize that not everyone celebrates the new year on January 1. I understand that there are many different calendars than the Gregorian Calendar. In Israel, their calendar is not by the sun, but by the moon and the year is around 5775. For us Christians the Gregorian Calendar is helpful because it has been 2015 years or 2015 A.D. since Jesus Christ died upon the cross and rose from the dead! So I appreciate the different calendars, I like the Jewish Calendar because I believe it is closer to the actual age of the Earth and I obviously adore the Gregorian Calendar because it dates back to Jesus Christ.

I have been pondering what to post for the the new year and having considered many subjects I have decided to do something more than just share. It seemed good to me and the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:28), to offer my email address. I am fully aware it could be found somewhere in my blogger profile, but there is a difference between availability and invitation. I offer an open communication to any Christian or seeker to contact me via the email address below:

sirjeffreyblogger@yahoo.com

When you send an email please title it blogger or blogger believer,  so that if it goes to spam I will know it is from a brother and sister or a seeker of the Lord who reads this blog.

Feel free to contact me with questions, to seek someone to pray with, to discuss and debate, to share encouragement with and share needs with. I want to hear your thoughts and your insights! For we are all One Body, but many different parts and thus we each have something to offer, something unique to add, and definitely important to contribute.

Do not hesitate to send me emails if you do not speak and write English. Thanks to Google Translate and other tools I can translate anything written in Arabic, Africana, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italiano, Irish, Japanese, Russian, Mandarin, Scottish, Spanish, Swedish, Taiwanese, Ukrainian, and many more!

The Holy Scriptures say, "do not neglect the communion (assembly) of believers and encourage one another." (Hebrews 10:25). Many interpret this to be a command to go to Sunday meeting, but I believe followers of Christ need more than a few hours or minutes together in a public meeting. We need to support each other and share each others burdens.

We our a family of all races, cultures, ethnic groups, nationalities, countries, colors and sizes in Christ Jesus! We need each other and it is my heart in this new year to connect and help in the ways I can. So please feel free to contact me via the email link I shared. I get email to my phone, so I can be ready to pray and ponder the deep mysteries of Christ. If you are not yet a believer, please contact me and we can discuss questions and etc.

Addendum:

Please note I am not expecting anyone to feel compelled to contact my email (note the email listed is merely for this purpose), it is merely there if you want prayer support and to discuss anything on the blog and etc.

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
