Cheating on God

Since the beginning mankind has being cheating on God. Yes, we have been in adultery since that day in the Garden, when our ancestors Adam and Eve choose the Forbidden Fruit. (Genesis 3).  Then again the Israelites cheated on God when they asked for a King. It says, "The Israelites spoke to the Prophet Samuel and said, you are old, but your sons do not follow your ways, appoint for us a king like all the other nations. To this Samuel went to the Lord in distress and the Lord God said, "Listen to all that the people are saying, it is not you they have rejected, but Me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods." (1 Samuel 8:5-9). The second adultery against God had been done that day the Israelites asked for a human king.

The Prophet Samuel goes one and tells us that Lord warns them through the prophet what they shall get from king like the other nations: "This what king over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of the chariots. Some will be assigned to commanders of thousands and of fifties, others to plow his ground and reap the harvest, and still others to make weapons of wars and equipment for his chariots. This king will take your daughters and make them perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He will take a tenth of your grain and vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his use. He will take a tenth of your flocks and you yourselves will become slaves. When that day comes you will cry for relief from your king  you have chosen , but the Lord will not answer you in that day"and they respond "No! We shall have king like all other nations! Then we will be like all other nations , with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles" (1 Samuel 8:10-19) This rejection of God as king and husband would lead to Israel to slavery on the government of monarchy, and then later to being captives and slaves completey to the Assyrians and Babylonians. Then God decided to renew his wedding vows with Israel and all people. He sent his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who on the cross made a New Covenant or Marriage with all people adding to the old marriage vows: eternal life, forgiveness of all sin, and closeness with God not available since before Adam fell.

But even with this new wedding on the wood of the cross, people still reject God! People still cheat on Christ with other gods: money, family, possessions, drugs, doctrines, demons, fame, and so on. The Lord has kept and renewed his vows! Now it time to begin keeping ours or else divorce awaits in the Second Death of Hell! (Revelation 20:14). Sin means separation in the original Greek and that is exactly what we a doing to our Lord and Savior when we choose sin (deliberately, not when we fighting our sinful behavior and trying to be close to Christ that is different). Just like Legal Separation, our sin divided us from our Bridegroom who is God. But then He Sent His Son Jesus to fix our relationship and erase the separation if we will stop running to it! Oh Lord, forgive us, holy-harlots and cheaters who call on your name in chaotic times, but then run to other gods in our prosperity! Oh Man.. you cheat thrice on God! How long will He stay Married to you now?

This is why I am convince people hate cheaters and when a husband or wife is cheated on that has been faithful they feel that undefinable and unfathomable betrayal and heartbreak; that is the heartbreak God almighty has felt for ages as His people keep cheating on him over and over! Only God hasn't divorced us yet, He keeps offering forgiveness, but a time will come if we do not turn from the behavior that separates us from Him that it will be too late, "If we keep on deliberately sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sin is left." (Hebrews 10:26).

The time has come to start being faithful! Be a faithful bride and spouse of Jesus Christ! Stop choosing sin and that which destroys the marriage! Yes the Lord forgives, but eventually people divorce themselves enough from Him that they only find the flames of His wrath. Stop breaking God's heart! Resolve to repent and stop running to other gods! Renew your marriage vows to the Almighty! He already did at Calvary and He wrote them in blood!

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
