I am Coming Lord

I love artwork. I believe it is words conveyed on canvas. In art so many messages and meanings can be discerned. I recently found pround piece of a Knight of Christ preparing to ride into battle. I then discovered another masterpiece of Jesus in Gethsemane and I had an epiphany, what if they were combined? I created with two separate pieces of art that are not mine; meaning I did not paint them, but together they become a new art piece that I lay claim to in concept.

I call this "I Am Coming Lord." At first my intent was to depict Jesus in his anguish interceding for his followers, in this case the Knights of Christ who represents in this depiction of the spiritual warriors found in Ephesians 6:12. However, as I combined the two images I discovered a different concept altogether. Jesus Christ is God and He carries us and helps in our hours of need, but it spoke to me seeing this Knight riding towards the Lord as the rest of the camp is busy preparing and going the other direction. What I discovered was two thoughts, one Jesus wants us to seek Him and look past religion, and men's reason to find Him. But the second thought was Jesus needs us. Hear me out, I am not saying Jesus needs us to be God, but rather He needs our love. Wait what?! That's 'apostasy'.. right? No it is not. Think about this, Jesus went to cross to save us the lost, whom He loves and when we return that love by believing and accepting what He did, it makes all his agony worth it.

I am well aware Jesus would have died on the cross if it only saved one person. But so often we get so caught up in Christ coming to our aid and keeping us, I wonder if He ever wants us to come for Him? I can hear the accusations already, that I am saying God needs and He needs nothing! But lets examine this verse, "When the Father looks at you He sees his Son." That is because Jesus now dwells within us! (Romans 8:11). We are the Temples of the Living God, so in essence Jesus needs Himself! If He is omnipresent, than He is within us and on his Throne and doing billions of others things! But I do believe beyond this fact, Jesus wants us. He wants us to come to Him and I imagine even Jesus wants someone to cry with. Yes mourn. For Jesus is watching many turn away from Him and walking into darkness. Where did you think we got emotions from? It was from Elohim and Emmanuel, the Creator and Savior! This is an odd thought for our cubical theology, but have you thought of answering God's prayer? Yes the Lord God is perfect, but maybe He wants some company? Actually I know He does, the proof, He died for us! Jesus died on the Cross so that we could be with Him and Father and Holy Spirit forever!

So consider this, what is God is calling to you. What if that call is not only to tell you what to do next or to answer your prayer. But what if the Lord is praying for us Christians to come to Him and be his friends! For Jesus said to his Disciples, "I no longer call you servants, because servants do not know their master's business,  Instead I have called you friends, for everything I have learned from the Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15, James 2:23). Well the Lord Jesus who is perfect and without sin does want to relate to us and what if it isn't just one sided with Him meeting our needs or wishes? What if God's wish is for us to come to Him and weep with Him and offer consolation (support) to Our Lord over those being lost in the waters of doubt and devils? For do not friends mourn with their friends who mourn, and likewise laugh when they laugh? (Romans 12:15). What if Jesus is lonely? Maybe rather than you giving him a litany He wants to visit with you In the living room or linger with you as you both weep over loss.

I once asked Jesus Christ a very unique question in prayer. I asked Him "How are you doing?" At the time it seemed odd, ask God how he's doing?! But I got a answer and it effected me. Jesus responded, "I am heartbroken that so many are falling away, but happy that so many are standing firm." I did not expect a response, but when it came as you read it, I thought not only does the wording sound well put together, but that it is logical, because so many in Body of Christ are falling away and yet many are still staying true to Him.

At some point as Christians we need to get close to Christ. If we keep treating him like He's behind a veil or distant on his throne, we shall lose the chance to actually know Him, which is the only thing that matters. For just chanting His name or acting like Christians will not save us. Only when we know Jesus Christ; become his close friend, will we finally be set free and saved. For to reach the final stage of our friendship with Christ is to go and be with Him in heaven or meet Him on his Return. So start now, and make your relationship with Jesus real and not just religion. God wants to know you and be your best friend! Don't throw away his friendship for fake piety and the foolish ideas of men such as the far away doctrine of Jesus wanting to stay away from you! No! Jesus wants to be your buddy! Choose today to have close relationship with Christ and not just a voting card! All you need to do is ask! "For whatever you ask in my name, it shall be given to you. You have not because you ask not." (Matthew 7:7, Matthew 21:22). Ask Jesus to be close to you and you will know these words, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Wash your hands you sinners, and purify your hearts you double minded." (James 4:8). Choose not to be double minded about deep relationship with Jesus and start being a friend of God!

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
