The Conformation: The Pseudo Reformation of 21 Century

I have realized that we Reformed believers find ourselves in same position as the Roman Catholic Church did in 16th Century. Today, there are many who want to reform our churches, by ordaining homosexuals, promoting homosexuality, permitting sexual immorality, allowing drug abuse, and more; but this is not reform, this is to conform to the ways of the world. When the Reformers like Martin Luther made their grievance against the Roman Church, their appeal and attack did not come from the world, but the words in Scripture. Luther urged the clergy to examine what Christ and His Apostles had said, and to cease inventing new dogmas to form new volumes of Canon Law. In contrast, the pseudo-Reformation of today does not take its cue or call from Scripture, but rather is making an affront to Scripture. Homosexuality, sexual immortality, polytheism, and so forth is forbidden, "When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God," (Galatians 5:`9-21), "When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. But I wasn't talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer [right here condemns these churches claiming you can ordain practicing homosexuals and sinners] yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is verbally abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don't even eat with such people," (1 Corinthians 5:9-11), "Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God," (1 Corinthians 6:9-11), and "But the cowardly (deilós : an adjective derived from deidō, "fear-driven" – properly, dreadful, describing a person who loses their "moral gumption (fortitude)" that is needed to follow the Lord. deilós "fearful of losses" refers to an excessive fear or dread of "losing," causing someone to be fainthearted or cowardly – hence, to fall short in following Christ as Lord), the unbelieving (non-believers, see John 3:17-18), the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral (all sexual acts outside marriage and between husband and wife), those who practice magic arts/sorcery, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." (Revelation 21:8).


The new reform should be called conform (see Romans 12:2), since it is a wordily and political movement to turn our churches into enclaves for citizens of sin. The conform-reform movement's goal is to fundamentally transform our church into the world, to exactly eradicate what makes us different. In essence it is a movement to go against the true faith, its goal is to turn the Church into the world, but our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles said, "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you," (John 15:19), "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.," (James 4:4), "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them," (1 John 2:15), "Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world," (James 1:27), "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will," (Romans 12:2), and, "You were taught to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires: to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24). The Conformation or Conformist Movement in the Church today is at its core antichrist and its goal is to destroy the Church from within. We Reformed Christians find ourselves in a battle, to maintain and keep the Truth (John 14:6) and stand against the Universalism, Liberal Christianity, and Conformist movement that is lawlessness. I believe the Lawlessness is already at work (2 Thessalonians 2:7), and that the Man of Sin, who is the Lawless One is soon to arrive on the world stage, his work has begun in churches, for Jesus tells us, "Because Lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12). This is a loaded verse, for the Lawlessness is the activity of Satan (2 Thessalonians 2:9), and of the antichrist, and love comes from Christ who is God () and thus our Lord is actually telling us that the Lawlessness is aimed at destroying love for God who is the source of love, God is love (1 John 4:8, John 3:16, Romans 5:8). This then cross references to Paul who said, "In last days.. People be lovers of self, lovers of money, lawless, rebellious, wrathful, and considering nothing sacred or holy." (2 Timothy 3:2-4 NLT). We are already seeing seeds of the Lawlessness growing into trees in the anarchy on streets over the US presidential election, but it is far worse and began in the churches and continues to rot the churches from within as we have seen the Presbyterian Church split in The Presbyterian Church in America and Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) the latter supporting homosexuality and ordaining homosexuals as pastors and elders who have homosexual partners. This is happening the Lutheran Church, Methodist Churches, Anglican and Episcopal Churches, Pope Francis I of the Roman Catholic Church wanted to ordain homosexuals but was blocked by the College of Cardinals. The Lawlessness is already working (2 Thessalonians 2:7) and it could be about to reveal its man, the Man of Lawlessness (Antichrist) himself!

Believers are faced with a choice, conform or transform? Will you conform to the world and let it erode the Truth and the Church until it is no different from world save in ritual? Or will you transform yourselves via Christ, The Holy Spirit, and adhering to the Truth into citizens of Heaven? The situation is simple, conform or transform, you either become an enemy of God, friend of the world, and pro-homosexual and every other sin, or you are friend of God, enemy of world, and anti-homosexuality and ever sin. You either hold fast to the Truth, Jesus Christ is the Only Way and Salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:11-12), and you must transform your life through believing in Him (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10)  and following Him, or you conform and create a worldly church "that has a form of godliness, but denies its power/They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" (2 Timothy 3:5, NIV and NLT). You decide, are you going to be a real Christian according to the Scriptures and pick up your cross (Matthew 16:24, cross references to Revelation 21:8 about the cowardly, see notes on it above where I include full verse), or are you going to be a fake Christian who conforms to the Society and put down your cross? You decide, are you disciple or dissenter? Do you love God or the world? Decide.
