Do you ever feel like the people you love, trust, and even thought were your allies suddenly become your most ruthless adversaries? It is as if one minute they were one person, but then the next minute they have morphed into someone else. This can happen for moment or lifetime and explanation seems to be elusive. What you are experiencing is hijacking. It is when Satan or a demon overtake a person, their thinking and mouth, to the point that this spirit of evil turns the person against you. At first it can be without their will, that they seem to wake from it later saying, "what happened? What did I say?" But later it develops into their own personal willful switch, where they uplink to the demon and go for your jugular because they do not like your growth, what you said, and anything that goes against their flesh.
The best analogy I have found is contained in the film "The Matrix." In a scene, Neo, the protagonist who is chosen to defeat the machine adversaries and to wake up people from a delusional world that is really virtual prison called the Matrix, finds himself learning a lesson from the mentor Morpheus (guy standing behind the man with the gun in the picture). Morpheus tells Neo in the scene depicted above, "If you are not one of us, you are one of them. Sentient programs, designed with one purpose to kill anyone who endangers the system. They are everyone and they are no one. Anyone who is still plugged into the Matrix is a potential agent." Morpheus is right, only it is true in our world. Those who do not believe in Jesus Christ, or who are worldly Christians are potential agents for Satan. At any moment a friend, a collogue, a coworker, and family member can become overtaken, as if they change into someone else and become your greatest enemy. Jesus said this would happen, "A man's enemies shall be those of his own household," (Matthew 10:36).
Anyone still attached to world's system of power, politics, and personal gain is a potential agent of the devil. Jesus said, "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (John 15:19). The world is a system, and it has a ruler, "No longer will I speak much with you; for the ruler (Prince) of this world comes, and in Me he has nothing." (John 14:30). That ruler is the devil and he acts as a "architect" of the world system. Our enemy wages war against us, because we are not of his system, we have been set free from his Matrix by the Messiah Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, some Christians do try to do both, to be in Kingdom (Real World) and the World (Matrix, Money Machine); but we are warned this cannot be, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will," (Romans 12:2), and "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24). It is clear that we can only discern the Will of God if we are not conforming to the world and its master, which is the devil and his system of money.
As believers we are to have our treasure in heaven, not this world. Jesus said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." (Matthew 6:19-20). Our home is heaven and the Kingdom is our world, not the world system made by men under the Malevolent One. There are some really strong words for those who choose to be friend of the world, "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." (James 4:4). In the Matrix film, a man named Cypher desires to return to the Matrix and to become plugged back in because he wants to live under the delusion at the cost of being a power source and potential agent for the Machines. Cypher is a Judas who betrays Neo and Morpheus, but he represents those in Church who think they can be friend of the world and friend of God. Scripture clearly states, "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them." (1 John 2:15). The Cyphers in the Church are open to becoming hijacked by the devil and his demons. They are half-hearted and so have an open door and mind to be used as agents against true believers.
I wish I could tell you that you will meet safe people, but I cannot. Every person is a potential agent unless they do the following: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
," (Proverbs 4:23) and "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (NIV). We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ (NLT)." (2 Corinthians 10:5). The Apostle Paul puts it most clearly, "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live," (Romans 8:13) for the flesh is the fresh link, cable, cord and connector to Categorica (Satan) in your life. If we stop dying to our flesh and "resisting the devil," (James 4:7) we become a Cypher, a Judas, and a agent in the devil's service. The only one you can truly trust is Jesus Christ, who Scripture says, "But Jesus didn't trust them, because he knew human nature." (John 2:24). Man is plagued with a disease called the Flesh, and if it is not put to death daily, it makes men slaves and servants of Satan. Jesus Christ set man free from Matrix, but each person must chose Him and wake up from the world system, put the world and flesh to death, and stay awake. We are entering tough times when it says,, "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death," (Matthew 10:21) and "because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12). This is going to get worse, so be prepared to only trust Jesus Christ. Don't stop loving people, for Christ commanded us to "love one another as I have loved you." (John 13:34-35, cross ref John 15:12). Be do not be surprised if you face crucifixion, persecution, enmity, and hatred by even those in the church. Because the devil has agents both inside and outside the Church. He wants to kill us, and he is working hard.
For those of you who do not know Jesus:
"You can take Red pill" and receive God's Grace for your sins (wrong and evil choices, deeds, and actions) through Jesus Christ's blood and sacrifice. You will be born again and find out how deep the Truth goes.
"You take Blue pill and go back to sleep and when you wake believe whatever you want to believe," but you will live a lie, and wake up one day in hellfire.
For those who have taken the Red pill (repented of their sins, and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior) and are awake:
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8). Keep watch and be ready to receive Jesus Christ like the Virgins with their lamps lit who woke up and trimmed their lamps (Matthew 25:7). Do not "abuse with abusers (beat your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, physically) and drink with drunkards." (Matthew 24:49). Instead, know Jesus Christ in close relationship and "Endure to the end and you shall be saved." (Matthew 24:13).
