Trinity: How Do I Relate to the Godhead?



Understanding the Holy Trinity (Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit) is beyond the finite minds God put in our heads. However, after understanding that God is triune it might become concerning for Christians if they are following the Lord correctly? Is it alright that I focus on Jesus more? Do I have to pray in the name of the "Father, Son and Holy Spirit?" What about the Pater Noster or "Our Father Prayer?" It doesn't mention Jesus. The questions like a vine grow. Since much confusion surrounds the Trinity, I have endeavored in this post to help settle these possible concerns.

For those concerned about perfectly acknowledging the Triune nature of God; here are the verses to for you:

"Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father. So why do you ask to 'see the Father?." (John 14:9)
If the focus of your devotion in prayer and relating to the Triune God is Jesus Christ, that is perfect! because when you see Jesus you see the Father and consequently the Holy Spirit is with the Father and Jesus.

"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)
This verifies that the Father Jehovah and Jesus are one. From this we deduce that the Holy Spirit is one with Jesus as well because the verse in John 14:26 says, "The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and in my Name." If Jesus and the Father are one, than the Holy Ghost comes from Jesus as well.

When we look at Jesus we see the Father and feel the Holy Spirit. If we think of the Father we shall see Jesus and the feel the Holy Spirit. If we focus on the presence of the Holy Spirit we shall be drawn to the Father and the Son (Jesus). It is one complete circle, no matter who you focus on will lead you to the rest of the Trinity! So yes, being devoted and following Jesus will ensure you follow The Father and Holy Spirit too. Hope that helps.

Addendum:

We must also take into account that Jesus said, "I am the way, the Truth, and the life, and the only way to the Father is through me." (John 14:6). My point in the last paragraph was that if you already believe in Jesus Christ and thus the Trinity, that you need not worry about if you are failing to focus on the Father and the Holy Spirit too and that once you are saved, the other parts of the Trinity will point to Christ. But Jesus rightfully so should be where we focus, for He leads us to the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! Concerns About The Jerusalem Cross

  When you travel to Jerusalem, it is the custom of a pilgrim to by a Jerusalem Cross as souvenir. Its suppose to represent Jerusalem, and Christianity there. Even Protestant brothers and sisters have adopted the Jerusalem Cross symbol as a missionary symbol, the four extra crosses being to four corners of the world, “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31). The problem is that the Jerusalem Cross has a very dark history spiritually.
