I have come to startling revelation regarding the three top pop culture fantasy franchises. The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Star Wars are more than they seem. Please read the following links, starting with this one carefully:
http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract11.html
Now that you have read that please read pages 8-9 (Pagan Sympathy- Occult Desensitization):
http://www.ericbarger.com/lotr.c.c.2.htm
As you can see from reading the links J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and George Lucas have gotten their mythological worlds and inspirations from occultism and witchcraft. The former witch turned Christian reveals that they plain upon which white and black magic users wage war is "Middle Earth" and that they believe in a "good and evil Force." Middle Earth is the location upon which Tolkien's characters battle and The Force is the power and energy in Star Wars that the Jedi and Sith wield in their wars against each other. All this information is hard to stomach, but like Eric Barger, I myself came upon this revelation via The Holy Spirit. Before the Lord I lifted up my concerns regarding LOTR, Narnia, and Star Wars. I was once so possessed by Ashla and Bogan (Light Side and Dark Side of the Force) that my identity became about being a Jedi or Sith than a Christian! After forsaking the Force for my faith, I became concerned with Tolkien's Legenderium (The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings) because of It's heavy Norse mythological influences. Thor and Oiden are Norse gods and they are in almost everything now. Thor has his own films via Marvel (Thor and Thor: Darkness, and The Avengers), his armor is featured on Master Chief/John 117 in Halo known as MJOLNIER Armor, and he returns classically via The Vikings Series on History Channel as well as being in The Hobbit as Thror (another spelling of Thor) and Thorin (Thor with in on the end). Tolkien only too recently had posthumous book on Norse Mythology, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun published by his son Christopher Tolkien. Upon further inspection, everything in Middle Earth has Nordic influences. From the Dwarves to the Elves, the races of Arda ware armor, and live like the Norse people.
Then add on top of this white magick and black magick in form of the Maiar. Gandalf happens to be both the spitting image of Oiden (Thor's Father when he was pilgrim waunder: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._R._R._Tolkien's_influences) and the paladin who fight the black magik users Sauron and Saruman. God is not even referenced until the prequel of the prequel book The Silmarillion. Eru Illuvatar (The Creator) has demi-gods (Valar/Ainur) who help create Arda and Middle Earth. Among this pantheon of gods is Manwe, Melkor (falls and become Morgoth), Ulmo (really the Greek god Poseidon), Aule (Oiden), Tulkus (Thor), Yavanna (Mother Nature, New Age goddess), and many more. Aule actually gets into trouble with Eru because he creates the Dwarves. If Tolkien is trying to teach a Catholic/Christian message than why can lower gods create like the Almighty God? Yes, Melkor who become Morgoth is high worshipper like Lucifer who became Satan and falls, but God in Tolkien's Legend is not the God of the Bible.
I have dear friend in New Jersey who said that when she first watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, her stomach turned at the scene where Saruman with the aid of Orc Necromancers is bringing his army of Uruk Hai to life in the mud. My friend shared that in Japan where she was raised, sorcerers did this magic and conjured the dead with mud. Then we move on to the blatantly clear use of necromancy in the Nazgul or Ring Wraiths. They are undead kings who have been summoned from the twilight realm by Sauron to find his ring. The One Ring is amulet that contains Sauron's Soul. Interestingly, the Former Witch in my first link talks about how witches uses rings in their magic in the war on Middle Earth. In fact, Gandalf, Galadriel, Elrond, and many others heroes of Tolkien's Middle Earth ware and uses rings in their battle against the Dark Lord.
Gandalf, Radagast, and the other Maiar are white magic users and Sauron and Saruman are black magik users. We are taught to sympathize with the good wizards because "good always triumphs over evil", which actually is heresy, because only God of the Bible is good (Mark 10:18, Luke )and Gandalf and his band of magicians are not God.
Moving on to Narnia. One of the most disturbing elements of C.S. Lewis' fantasy is that the god Pan is depicted as heroes or allies to the Pevensies, Eustuce Scrub, Jill Pole, and other travelers to the fairytale land. Pan is ancient god at the Gates of Hell in Sidon. Jesus took his Disciples there and showed them the shrine (that to this day still exists). (Matt 16:18). Pan is perfect collage of Satan: he has horns, he seduces children/people, and he has goat legs. And yet readers are suppose to care about this Panistic Mr. Tumnus and even pity him and his fate! Then add to that other mystical creatures like dryads, satyrs, and centaurs; all of which are mutations of man and beast. Think about what sacrilege that is?! Man is made in the image of God. God did not make a half man and half beast. Everything the Almighty created is either man or beast, not both! Yet we are in The Chronicles of Narnia suppose to see these half breeds as normal and even admirable creations?! Then there is the clear "all paths lead to God" message in final Narnia book The Last Battle. Aslan finding a follower of Tash, named Emeth. Emeth is Calorman (Arabian/Islamic like people) who Aslan admits into True Narnia (New Earth & Heaven). Lewis through Aslan makes the egregious statement that because Emeth was seeking Tash and did not know he really was seeking Aslan, Aslan spares him. This would be like Christ clearing people who never believed in him at the Last Judgment! There then follows only one wrongful conclusion, "it doesn't matter what you believe." Which of course is not true, but is the train of thought birthed by Aslan and Emeth's dialogue.
Finally we have Star Wars, which shows the conflict of white and black magick at it's zenith. Jedi and Sith fight using the light or dark side of the "Force" which happens to be the same name of the energy witches like the one in first link I shared call it. Jedi and Sith use the Force via powers or spells. While the Jedi are depicted as good because of their civility and peace making qualities, the Sith are seen as cruel and power hungry. And yet both claim they seek peace for the galaxy and both wield incredible powers that beguile youths in front of their televisions.
The Force quickly becomes a power young people want to possess. At first they will merely pretend to use it, but if they should discover that white and black magic can preform similar feats what do you think will happen? Granted the power displayed through spells is a show or spectacle to seduce souls, but young people are impressionable and thus not strong in their resolve. What will say a tween think if they hear The Force is real? That they can join the Light Side or Dark Side and be called witches and warlocks. What once seemed like a harmless good versus evil story in Star Wars becomes a doorway to the demonic realm.
Five years ago if you had told me that The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Star Wars were occultic and propagators of witchcraft; I would have laughed you out of the room or reacted like most purist fans. Now, having on my own come to the revelation about these stories and then reading these articles I am convinced that all three genres are great deceptions. The devil has made Christians accept occultic and pagan beliefs because of their attachment to the characters in these three major franchises. Children aren't casting spells when they play Gandalf or the Witch King, and yet in video games they do virtually cast spells and the idea of magic becomes all the more alluring to innocents.
Satan's greatest schemes is to get us to accept things by mingling it with our Christian faith. Most people do not turn from Christ because of these books, films, and video games. They instead let in witchcraft. They become desensitized as the Former Witch says and sympathetic even to the white magick users. This blending of beliefs and sympathies spreads and demonic spirits with it.
I encourage you, if you are a Ringer, Potternite, Narnian, or Jedi/Sith consider what powers draw you to these stories and think and pray to the Lord about removing them from your life. These stories are not the Bible and they have major witchcraft involved in them. I have begun purging them myself and I will be the first to say that I am baffled by how blind I was! I was die hard Star Wars fan, I have a Jedi robe, 2x $120 FX lightsabers. I had Anduril (Elessar/Aragorn II's Sword: reforged from Narsil) and Hadhafang ( Elrond/Arwen Undomiel's scimitar). I had Rhindron (Peter Pevensie's Narnia Sword), and many other collectables. I have read the books and written my own fan fictions and even done private plays in my front yard. I was both a purist and defender of these stories. I had many heated debates with Harry Potter fans about how it was ok for me to be into LOTR but that it was wrong for them to be into HP. I now know both are evil. The only difference is one is more subtle.
The truth about Tolkien's Middle Earth, Lewis' Narnia, and Lucas' Star Wars is that they are all cleaver fictions (fantasies) created to draw people into mixed beliefs and heresies. Avoid Middle Earth, Narnia, and A Galaxy, Far, Far Away... at all costs! We as Christians cannot afford to be caught up in pagan and occultic fantasies. Jesus Christ is coming soon and we do not want to be caught like the servant who decided to party because he thought the Master was not going to return soon. We are not to partake in "divination, necromancy, sorcery, and witchcraft." (Deuteronomy 18:10). I would even say do not imitate or get involved with anything that depicts and resembles these evils. If they are forbidden by God, why would you want to watch, read, or play anything with these sorceries in them?
Turn instead to Christ the Messiah and stop feeding your minds with magic and monsters! Turn to the Bible as your source of comfort and wonder. Let the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) be your greatest joy and desire. Forsake anything that would lead you away from close relationship with Jesus Christ.
