During the First Coming of Christ there were two major sects of Judaism, The Pharisees and the Sadducees. The Pharisee and Saducee were polar opposites. Pharisees believed that they would appease the LORD God by following the Mosaic Law to the strictest letter, while the Sadducees believed in compromising Judaism by including pagan rites and Roman customs. These two sects were off the mark of the LORD, and they were both rebuked by Jesus Christ for different reasons, " The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, 24  saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.’ 25  Now there were seven brothers among us. Everyday we consume food. For many it is three square meals a day, for others it is two or less in the more impoverished parts of the world. The topic of what is clean and unclean to eat has pervaded the Church since the time of the Apostles. Many Jewish Christians claimed that the Levitcal Laws on eating Kosher and no unclean thing must be observed, while the Apostle Paul and other Greek Christians argued that all food is clean. It is incredible that something as common to daily life as food could foster discord and even schism in the Body of Christ. To this day there are those brothers and sisters who claim kosher is important (Seventh Day Adventists in particular) and those who believe we no longer live under the old Levitical codes of food preparation and strictures because we are under a New Covenant and the Old One is obsolete (Hebrews 8:13, Hebrews 8:6). The Fruits of the Spirit are suppose to be fruit of every Christian. In fact, Jesus Christ Himself said, " Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit ," (Matthew 12:33), " I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing ," (John 15:5), and " The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire ," (Matthew 3:10). It is evident that our Lord Emmanuel makes fruit bearing important, but what is the fruit? It is not obviously literal fruit such as apples, bananas, and grapes; but it is spiritual. There is a door to paradise, a way to enter eternal life. This door is found in Jesus Christ, through the Wound of His Side we enter Heaven's Gate and the New Jerusalem. Jesus said, " I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find past ure." (John 10:9). Christ Jesus is the I AM, the Son of God and Jehovah, the One who made all that is and will be (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). He is One with Father (John 10:30), and the Holy Spirit testifies of Him and leads people to Him (). Upon the cross God as Man bore the sins of world, and out of His hands and feet dripped the Blood of the Sacrifice for all sins and for those who believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God (John 3:16, John 6:40).
