How to Cope in Chaos

The world is in turmoil. Between a COVID 19 resurgence and the protests in America and Germany, many might be asking how to cope in these turbulent times. Watching the destruction of US statues and property makes it ever clear we are living in the last days, “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred” (2 TIMOTHY 3:2). Nothing is sacred, there is no respect for property, Icons, and more. I will not be surprised if we at some point see Virgin Mary’s and other religious symbols destroyed next.

The outrage over George Floyd’s death is just. The looting and destruction and occupation of cities is not. The forces of this present darkness have hijacked Floyd’s memorial and created mobs that seek to “fundamentally change,” the rule of law. Make no mistake, this is the lawlessness at work prophesied by St. Paul, “Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you? And you know what is holding him back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-11). The verse, “For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way,” feels very timely, that lawlessness is now being revealed. How many leaders in countries have been caught in corruption and lawlessness? And now look at the lawless streets of the US.

The defunding and dismantling of the police will lead to lawlessness. If you are attacked in your residence by a thief or murderer who will you call? I agree that police officers who are prejudiced and use brutality and excessive force must be punished and even held to standards of the laws they enforce. But the alternative of no police will be anarchy and lawlessness, and so I find myself in a impasse, it has to get lawless for the Man of Lawlessness (Antichrist) to rise which leads to our Lord Jesus Christ’s return. But living in a lawless city and world will not be easy.

The truth is there is nothing to be done if this is the lawlessness that ushers in the Antichrist to power, we will not be able to stop it with vigils, voting, and pleadings. In fact, we shouldn’t want to stop it, for it means our Lord Jesus Christ is going to return (2 Thessalonians 2:8). We are going to have to cope in the chaos, to let Christ be our lamp and cling to Him as lawlessness increases. This is likely it my brothers and sisters, it could be a bump and all return to normal, or it could be chain reaction that leads to Christ’s Return. Either way we need to be spiritually ready for the events that are on the horizon, “Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake and who keeps his clothes [that is, stays spiritually ready for the Lord’s return], so that he will not be naked—spiritually unprepared—and men will not see his shame.” (Revelation 16:15 AMP). Amen.

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...

Concerns About The Jerusalem Cross

When you travel to Jerusalem, it is the custom of a pilgrim to by a Jerusalem Cross as souvenir. Its suppose to represent Jerusalem, and Christianity there. Even Protestant brothers and sisters have adopted the Jerusalem Cross symbol as a missionary symbol, the four extra crosses being to four corners of the world, “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31). The problem is that the Jerusalem Cross has a very dark history spiritually. Yes it was used like French Cross as a counter to Nazi swastika during the 1940’s which is ironic since one variant of Cross Potent which is in the Jerusalem Cross was a swastika called the grammadion which was a talisman for luck and good fortune: My greater concern is the crusader theology tied to the Jerusalem Cross. The Jerusalem Cross as we know it was created when the Kingdom of Jerusalem was formed during The Fi...
