Angelology

I advise against studying angelology (angels) and Nephilim. The reason is that often the Fallen Angels (Revelation 12:7-12, Genesis 6:4-6) tend to lead people who study angels into worship and obsession. Angels serve in positions, like military ranks, there are messengers (Luke 1:26-38), Guardians, Archangels (Jude 1:9), and many others, each serving a function. We in contrast are made in God's image (Genesis 1:27) and were meant to be loved and to love (Matthew 22:36-41), but the fallen ones, specifically Satan their leader taught man to seek knowledge (Genesis 3) and take positions; he took our command to subdue (Genesis 1:28) and turned it into submit with swords, and positions of power (Game of Thorns is Satan's game, Love and Kingdom building/evangelizing is God's way). Hence why Jesus says we are not of world (John 15:16-19), because world system is run by prince of this world (John 14:30), who is the devil and who created commerce (Ezekiel 28:11-18, he is Mammon Matthew 6:24) and who is the god (sons of god, angel) of war (Ares, Baal, Allah) who started first war in heaven (Revelation 12:7-12).

We are meant to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2). For Jesus is greater than the angels, "Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names. For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:“You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.[a]God also said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”[b] And when he brought his supreme[c] Son into the world, God said,“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”Regarding the angels, he says, He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.” But to the Son he says, Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.” He also says to the Son, In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever.” And God never said to any of the angels, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.” Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation." (Hebrews 1:1-14).

When the Apostle John tried to worship an angel, this is what happened, "Then the angel told me to write, “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus." (Revelation 19:9-10), and "And I am John, the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. But he said, "No, don't worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!" (Revelation 22:8-9). The angel echoed Christ, "5Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world, will give it all to you if you will worship me. Jesus replied, "The Scriptures say, 'You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.'" (Luke 4:6-8). You see, angels from God always draw attention back to God as the angel did with Apostle John (Revelation 19:9-10) specifically leading people to worship LORD God Jesus Christ. Fallen angels, like the devil always seek self worship (Luke 4:6), and this is how you can tell if an angel is good or evil, do they worship Jesus and focus you on the Lord Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), or do they distract you and lead you to worship them? The Scriptures above make it clear.

Actually, the Apostle Paul talks about worshippers of angels, "Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it." (Colossians 2:18-19). The Apostle Paul considers angel worship as a sinful mind, and no wonder because true angels that serve the Lord always draw attention to God the Trinity, not themselves (Luke 1:26-38, Revelation 19:9-10). So beware of those who would lead you astray with Angelology, and lead you away from pure and simple devotion to Jesus Christ, "But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent." (2 Corinthians 11:3). Do not let anyone lead you from fixing your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), who is the only way to Father (John 14:6) and the only Salvation (John 6:40, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). Finally, all angels and every being will bow before Jesus, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11).

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
