The Vanguard: Billy Graham, Parlt Robertson, and Timothy Keller

The Old Vanguard of the faith is leaving this world. Billy Graham passed away in 2018, Timothy Keller died last month, and today Pat Robertson reposed. Graham lead great crusades that saved hundreds of thousands and impacts millions through televised offerings. Timothy Keller wrote so many books that clarify the essentials like The Holy Trinity in books like Jesus The King. Pat Robertson founded the 700 Club & CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) that brought faith based news forward, and made plateform for contemporary Christian theologians, humanitarians, and etc to have a place to speak on TV.

These men were not perfect. No man is saved The God Man Jesus Christ. What they did was be a vanguard in The Kingdom, they pioneered in the 21st Century a means to reach people for Christ. Billy Graham focused on evangelism (Matthew 28:19), Timothy Keller  equipping the saints in sound doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16), Pat Robertson created access to Israel and Christian leaders & communities, letting us see Armenia and other places around the world. They were titans who used all the mediums at their disposal to further the testimony of our Lord. You may disagree with their political views, Pat Robertson made some wild prognostications that did not come true, but he founded a program that gave Christians a voice in televised broadcasting and he founded a faith based university known as Regent University and a humanitarian aid called Operation Blessing that has been on frontlines of crises around the world.

I weep at the leaving of this Vanguard, perhaps like that next generation who said fair well to the disciples and apostles of Jesus, knowing they now had to carry the torch. And that is exactly what we need to do. To take up the mantel of being next Vanguard, wielding our swords and torches in this dark world! We must not let a vacuum form. Franklin Graham is compromised, he let The National Day of Prayer become interfaith, when there is only One Way, Jesus Christ! (John 14:6, John 3:18). Gordon Robertson, Pat’s Son, has a big heart, but he allows Jews to Judaize Christianity through his Israel connections, when there is neither Jew or Greek in Christ, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” (Galatians 3:28), “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink,” (1 Corinthians 12:13), and the Law doss not save, “and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith,” (Philippians 3:9), “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose,” (Galatians 2:21), and “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2:16). Timothy Keller had no successor, and perhaps that is best for now, for his books set out sound doctrine, I’d have hated a son to rise and trade on his good name and mislead people.

The Charge is ours now. We the next generations must take up the orthodoxy and fight for the faith as fide defensors! The Old Vanguard has left. We must fill the vacuum and take responsibility for the future of the Church. Amen.

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...

Concerns About The Jerusalem Cross

When you travel to Jerusalem, it is the custom of a pilgrim to by a Jerusalem Cross as souvenir. Its suppose to represent Jerusalem, and Christianity there. Even Protestant brothers and sisters have adopted the Jerusalem Cross symbol as a missionary symbol, the four extra crosses being to four corners of the world, “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31). The problem is that the Jerusalem Cross has a very dark history spiritually. Yes it was used like French Cross as a counter to Nazi swastika during the 1940’s which is ironic since one variant of Cross Potent which is in the Jerusalem Cross was a swastika called the grammadion which was a talisman for luck and good fortune: My greater concern is the crusader theology tied to the Jerusalem Cross. The Jerusalem Cross as we know it was created when the Kingdom of Jerusalem was formed during The Fi...
