The Holy Trinity

The Holy Trinity is the God Head, the LORD God who is One and Three Persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The word Trinity is not found in any Bible because it was coined by Tertullian, but it defines the undefinable nature and relationships of the Godhead and Trinity. The Trinity is One God, and Three Persons, each person has distinct personality and mind and emotions and words expressing themselves though in harmony because they are One God. Explaining the Trinity is beyond the scope of our feeble human abilities, and it precisely the fact we cannot perfectly explain the God Head that proves He is indeed God. The Trinity is made of The Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Three are inseperable, in fact when Jesus came it is written, "the fullness of Godhead dwelt in Him," (Colossians 2:9), and Christ said, " Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it," (John 14:9-14), and "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you," (John 14:26). In fact, Jesus said, "I and Father are One (essence)," (John 10:30), and "Jesus then breathed on them and they received the Holy Spirit." (John 20:21-22). I find that when we relate to Godhead, everyone has easiest time relating to Jesus Christ. I believe it is because He lowered Himself and bore our sins (Galatians 3:26, 2 Corinthians 6:18), and it is easier to understand the relationship of being the Son or child. We all are son or daughter, and thus Son of God is relatable. The Holy Spirit isn't difficult to relate to either, because He comes like wind and falls upon us to give us comfort, teach us, and lead us. While Jesus Christ is the seen and made flesh Son of God, and Holy Spirit the Power of God made manifest, the Father is perhaps the most aloof, but not because of Him.

Many people on this planet have father issues. Weither you are male or female, chances are that you don't have relationship with your earthly father youi would like. He often project the failtures of our father on earth on our Father in Heaven, while Jesus Christ the Son of God is seen as merciful, the Father is seen as the disappointed and unrelatable parent. Nothing could be further from Truth. While Jesus lowered himself, He was also was sent by the Father and taught by the Father, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," (John 3:16), "Jesus gave them this answer: "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does," (John 5:19), "So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me," (John 8:28), and, "And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup (of suffering) pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will be done." (Matthew 26:39). The Father is not indifferent, cruel, or harsh. He is as the song goes, "a good good Father, its who you are." He is the daddy we all want, need, and some may even have but even more so! He wants us to come to Him crying Abba Father, in the name of the Son Jesus, and by Holy Spirit. The Father loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus Christ (who is part of Him), He gave is Son so that we may be sons and daughters through believing and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and God, gaining eternal life (John 6:40, John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-10).

The Father and Holy Spirit were crucified with Jesus Christ on Cross (John 10:30, Colossians 2:9, John 14:26, John 17:20-22), because God is One. Jesus the Son of God was the one whose flesh was broken and torn, but He is One with Father and Holy Spirit, and so they were there too feeling the pain. Jesus Christ bore our sin, but the Father and Holy Spirit did too, though not in separate bodies [but inside Jesus Christ], they did so within Jesus and connected to Him. Jesus personally felt the full might of crucifixion, His body in agony, and the Father and Spirit felt the agony in Spirit being One with Christ's Spirit as One God but three. Confused? Have I lost you. The reason I mention this is so that you may not be mislead in your views of the Father. He was there too, offering His Son for propitaiton of our sins, and yet feeling the pain too because the Father and Son are One (John 14:7-14, John 10:30, John 17:20-22). Christ Jesus was the one of Godhead (Trinity) who took on our sin and felt his body be filleted and torn apart, but the Father and Holy Spirit felt the pain too though they did not hang in a body on cross, Jesus did, but they were inside Christ and so felt it from within Him. This is difficult to explain because Jesus Christ is one who bore the sins, but the Father and Son are One, and so is Holy Spirit, so you cannot compartmentalize them; and yet each person of the Trinity relates to us individually with their own distrinct personality, voice, and behavior; and yet when one relates to us, all three relate to us. This is trying to explain God and His inner workings, and we fail miserably because we can never fully understand because of this sinful body, limited mind. One day we will fully know, "Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely." (1 Corinthians 13:12).

Your mind may be spinning by now, but that is God, you are trying to understand how God works and it makes your limited mind spin, because the Creation cannot fully comprehend the Creator and how He opereates; because the Creator is God (Genesis 1:27, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). I do want to now shift focus regarding the Trinity, that they are a community. As humans we crave interaction and community (except interoverts, although even they need some people time to not go insane), we want to be wanted and loved, and to interact in a community. God himself, the Trinity is a model of community. One is isolated and individualistic, two is dynamic and tends to polarize [good vs evil], but three is beginning of community. We thrive and strive to be with others in community because God Himself is a Community of Three, He isn't alone because He is One though Three, and He made us to be His family. God's children is us who believe in Christ (Romans 8:17), and He so loves us that he wants us to crawl up into His bed when we are afraid, like a child who lays between parents, we too should lay between Trinity, who is there to comfort us.

While the Trinity is equal and One yet Three, Jesus Christ has been elevated. Jesus is the Only way to Father, "Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me," (John 14;6), it is only by Jesus Christ we are saved, "It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved," (Acts 4:10, 12), "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself," (John 12:32), "Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father has placed His seal of approval on Him," (John 6:27), "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day," (John 6:39), "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day," (John 6:44), and the Father says of Jesus, "Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.
For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:

“You are my Son.
Today I have become your Father.”

God also said,

“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son.”
And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,[d]
“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”
Regarding the angels, he says,
“He sends his angels like the winds,
his servants like flames of fire.”
But to the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.
You rule with a scepter of justice.
You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”[g]
10 He also says to the Son,
“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth
and made the heavens with your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain forever.
They will wear out like old clothing.
12 You will fold them up like a cloak
and discard them like old clothing.
But you are always the same;
    you will live forever.”
13 And God never said to any of the angels,
“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
    until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.”
14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation," (Hebrews 1:1-14),
"So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.
And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about. For in one place the Scriptures say,
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
or a son of man that you should care for him?
Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You gave them authority over all things.”
Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority. What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. 10 God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.
11 So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.12 For he said to God,
“I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters.
I will praise you among your assembled people.”
13 He also said,
“I will put my trust in him,”
that is, “I and the children God has given me.”
14 Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. 15 Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
16 We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested," (Hebrews 2:1-18),
"You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father," (Philippians 2:1-11),
"He (Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross," (Colossians 1:15-20),
As you can see It pleases the Father to make the Son the doorway and gate to eternal life (John 10:9-16) and to the Father and Holy Spirit; there is no envy, but joy that Father has raised up the Son to be salvation of all mankind and through Him be counted as children of God and be able to approach the Father, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name," (John 16:23), "You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will remain--so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you," (John 15:16), "On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you," (John 14:20), "And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus," (Hebrews 10:19), "But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast," (Hebrews 3:6), "All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God," (1 John 4:15), "let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most," (Hebrews 4:16), and be baptized in Holy Spirit (Acts 9:10-17).

When Father lifts up Son so is Father lifted up, and when you believe in Jesus Christ as God, Savior, Lord, and Messiah, you are doing Father's Will, "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." (John 6:40), and believing in Father. Thus focusing on Jesus leads to Father and Holy Spirit, and Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus, and Father speaks of how proud He is of the Father and sends the Holy Spirit who is also sent by Jesus, its one big circle of God Head that honors and extols and delights in each other; so you see a model for us, God brags on the other Person of Himself, just as we are brag on others not ourselves. Christ doesn't need to testify of himself, the Father and Holy Spirit do that for Him.There is no competition among the Godhead because they are One God. They are three distinct persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,  and so they do not rival each other, but love one another and work in perfect unity and harmony. When someone talks to Christ and worships Him the Father is honored and so is the Spirit, when the Father is honored the Son rejoices and Spirit dances, when the Holy Spirit is honored it sings and leads people to the Son and Father. Its a perfect circle, they each are God and One yet Three, always serving and loving one another; just as we are to emulate them with each other, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35).

For those in need of more proof that God is a Trinity, Here are verses from Holy Bible, Old and New Testaments:

"Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground," (Genesis 1:26)

"Then the LORD God said, "Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!" (Genesis 3:22),

"And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth and said, “O Lord, if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant. Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree, while I bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.” And Abraham went quickly into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quick! Three seahs of fine flour! Knead it, and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to a young man, who prepared it quickly. Then he took curds and milk and the calf that he had prepared, and set it before them. And he stood by them under the tree while they ate.
They said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “She is in the tent.” 10 The Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah. 12 So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?” 13 The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard[ for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” 15 But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. He said, “No, but you did laugh.”
16 Then the men set out from there, and they looked down toward Sodom. And Abraham went with them to set them on their way. 17 The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I have chosen[f] him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.” 20 Then the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, 21 I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.” (Genesis 18:1-21)

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19)

"And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)

"26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you," (John 14:26)

"I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ," (1 Peter 1:1-2)

"When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father--the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father--he will testify about me," (John 15:26)

"And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him." (Acts 10:38)

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better." (Ephensians 1:17)

"Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work." (John 14:10)

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form." (Colossians 2:9, KJV and BB).

"So we have these three witnesses the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and all three agree." (1 John 5:7-8)

"yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." (1 Corinthians 8:6)

"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)

"Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father
," (John 14:11-13),

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me," (John 17:20-22),

"Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
22 Then he breathed on them and said,
“Receive the Holy Spirit
," (John 20:21-22),

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God,[f] who is at the Father's side, he has made him known
." (John 1:1-18).

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
