The fruit of spirit helps you tell if something is of the Spirit and its how to test the spirits, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1). In addition, this fruit of the spirit tells you if a healing, word of knowledge, prophecy, and other acts in name of Christ and Holy Spirit (see 1 Corinthians 12:1-11) is really coming from the Holy Spirit or if it is counterfeit (Matthew 24:24). For Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." (Matthew 7:15-20). The fruit of the Spirit tells us if something is of God. For instance there are so called healers and prophets who knock people over with their hand and call it "Slain in the Spirit," but actually such a phenomenon violates the fruit of spirit called "self control," and "gentleness." For Jesus actually said, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls," (Matthew 11:29) so how is knocking someone over gentle? Not only does slain in spirit (knocking someone over with supernatural power or knock on head) violating the fruits of the Holy Spirit. The only cases in Scripture of anything similar to this phenomenon are quite different:
Jesus and The Army
"Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them. “Who are you looking for?” he asked.Jesus the Nazarene,”they replied. “I am he,”Jesus said. (Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them.) As Jesus said “I am he,” they all drew back and fell to the ground!" (John 18:4-7).
Jesus and John Revelation
"I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus. It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit. Suddenly, I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet blast. It said, “Write in a book everything you see, and send it to the seven churches in the cities of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.” When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven gold lampstands. And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man.He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest. His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire. His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave." (Revelation 1:9-18)
Jesus The Transfiguration
"Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light. Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus. Peter exclaimed, “Lord, it’s wonderful for us to be here! If you want, I’ll make three shelters (Tabernacles, houses, see 2 Samuel 7:1-23) as memorials—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.” (The Father of Trinity) The disciples were terrified and fell face down on the ground. Then Jesus came over and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” And when they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus." (Matthew 17:1-8).
Apostle Peter and Ananias and Sapphire
"But there was a certain man named Ananias who, with his wife, Sapphira, sold some property. 2 He brought part of the money to the apostles, claiming it was the full amount. With his wife’s consent, he kept the rest. Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!”As soon as Ananias heard these words, he fell to the floor and died. Everyone who heard about it was terrified. Then some young men got up, wrapped him in a sheet, and took him out and buried him. About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Was this the price you and your husband received for your land?” “Yes,” she replied, “that was the price.” And Peter said, “How could the two of you even think of conspiring to test the Spirit of the Lord like this? The young men who buried your husband are just outside the door, and they will carry you out, too.” Instantly, she fell to the floor and died/Immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. When the young men came in and saw that she was dead, they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear gripped the entire church and everyone else who heard what had happened." (Acts 5:1-11).
In every case of these Scriptures,
It is very important that we test the spirits and examine the fruit. If there is bad fruit, then there is a bad tree in heart of person and they will lead you astray. If the actions, supernatural experience, and revelation contradict the Fruit of the Spirit, especially on your self control (control of your self, body and emotions), and if it isn't gentle, then it isn't the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:23) or Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:29) who are both gentle. Beware of those who do the slain in spirit or *Holy Laughter phenomenon [holy laughter is where a person says Holy Spirit has come and people laugh uncontrollably, making them break ribs and being hospitalized, this again violates the Fruit of Spirit of Gentle and Self Control], it is not in Holy Bible and it contradicts the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (His character). We must test the spirits to see if they are of the Spirit of God or else we could get deceived, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect, See, I have warned you about this ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man (Revelation 1:7)," (Matthew 24:24-27), "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit," (Matthew 7:15-16), "I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure and undivided devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light," (2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 13-14), "The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them," (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10), "I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery—but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast. They worshiped the dragon for giving the beast such power, and they also worshiped the beast. “Who is as great as the beast?” they exclaimed. “Who is able to fight against him?” Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given authority to do whatever he wanted for forty-two months. And he spoke terrible words of blasphemy against God, slandering his name and his dwelling—that is, those who dwell in heaven. And the beast was allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And he was given authority to rule over every tribe and people and language and nation. And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made," (Revelation 13:3-8),
"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear," (2 Timothy 4:1-3), "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power]," (Colossians 2:8-10), and "Let no one defraud you of your prize [your freedom in Christ and your salvation] by insisting on mock humility and the worship of angels, going into detail about visions [he claims] he has seen [to justify his authority], puffed up [in conceit] by his unspiritual mind, and not holding fast to the head [of the body, Jesus Christ]," (Colossians 2:18-19). There are true supernatural powers via The Holy Trinity of Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), but we must test the spirits (1 John 4:1) to see if they are really from God or if they are those counterfeit spirits (2 Corinthians 11:4). We should not be afraid of the Power of the Holy Spirit, but we need to test everything with the Fruit of the Spirit and the Holy Bible (Holy Scriptures), for it is within the Holy Bible that the Fruit of Spirit and what they are is revealed. We need to cling to Scriptures, "From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:15-17), know the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), test the spirits (1 john 4:1), discern the spirits and beware of false doctrine (2 Corinthians 12:10, 2 Timothy 4:1-3).
Don't be afraid of the Holy Spirit or ignore the Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). But remember to test everything with the Scriptures and Gifts of the Spirit of God. Amen.

In every case of these Scriptures,
- No man touched the people,
- God himself alone made the disciples and enemies in question fall over,
- and it was disciplinarian, God was chastising and rebuking the people involved in this experience.
- In most cases, they fell forward, in the slain in spirit phenomenon its falling backward.
