Fix Your Eyes on Jesus: For Those Fearing Watchers, Nephilim, Fallen Angels, and More

We are living in some supernatural times. Strange things are beginning to happen, and people are becoming obsessed with "Watchers" (Daniel 4:13-17, Book of Enoch), "Nephilim" (Genesis 6:1-6), "The Locusts" (Revelation 9:3-7), and more. Many people in Church are reporting manifestations of strange beings, and becoming preoccupied by these visitations. To those who are see such things, I do not deny they are real, but they are not of God. The enemy wants to distract us, and he will do anything to divert our attention from Alpha and Omega, from Jesus Christ. The writer of Hebrews admonishes us, "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne." (Hebrews 12:2). There are many people who have the discerning of spirits (1 Corinthians 12:10) and second sight (visions of unseen realm). The problem is that the devil and his legions want to pollute such gifts to divert people from God Almighty, make them afraid, convince them to be superstitious, and to start obeying these visions without seeking Christ about them.

The Apostle Paul warns us, "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." (1 Timothy 4:1). Demons and other spirits like watchers want to show themselves to receive worship and to draw people from Word of God, who is Christ Jesus. The aim and goal is to intrigue humans with these strange visitations, and images that match those of ancient gods and even the superhero mythos like Man of Steel. This is all an aim to deceive the Elect of God, and to make them become turn their gaze and eyes from Jesus. The Apostle John warns us any spirit that visits or appears that does not confess Jesus is not of God, "and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is already in the world at this time." (1 John 4:3). Any spirit that does not confess Jesus, and that He came in flesh, is a devil in disguise seeking to deceive! The Apostle Paul warns us about the people who will propagate and peddle these visions of demons in disguise, he says of them, "Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind,  and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God." (Colossians 2:18-19). The reason demons and spirits manifest is to draw attention, to seek worship, and to divert people's faith from Christ Jesus; to make them afraid and superstitious, when they should be trusting the truth that the Holy Trinity is omnipotent and all powerful to destroy the devil (Revelation 20:10), Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:8), the fallen angels/Nephilim/watchers (Matthew 25:41), and wicked people (Revelation 19:25).

The Apostle Peter in his boldness stepped out of the boat to walk on water with Jesus. It says that as he walked he took notice of waves, "But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted." (Matthew 14:30). Then Jesus came to Peter swiftly, "Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. "You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?" (Matthew 14:31). This image is a spiritual one as well as it literally happened on Seas of Galilee. So many people start to sink and become afraid of visions of the enemy's waves and his wind, that they take their eyes of Jesus, begin to doubt His power due to fear and unbelief, and so they sink and all the time our Savior is saying, "You have so little faith, Why did you doubt me?" The goal of the plethora of unseen spirits and demons is to distract people with their wind and waves; shakings and strange imagery, so as to draw people's eyes from Christ Jesus in order to sink them. We should not be afraid of these fallen creations, for Christ lives in us, "But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness." (Romans 8:10). The Creator and Savior is within His people (1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 3:6). Then why are we afraid? What can devils and demons, even man do unto us if we live whole heartily for the Lord? (Matthew 22:37-38).

In these end times there are going to be many strange happenings (read Revelation 9, Revelation 10). Jesus said it will be like the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39). In days of Noah there was the sons of god (angels) having relations with women and creating giant children (Nephilim), [Genesis 6:1-6]. There is many speculating this will happen again (Revelation 9:3-9) when the abyss that has bound these vile fallen creatures is opened at the end of days. But we saints should not be afraid. We must trust in Jesus Christ, His saving power, and blood. Christ has sealed us, "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit," (Ephesians 1:13), "set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come," (2 Corinthians 1:22), and this seal protects us from the fallen and Nephilim who return, "They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads." (Revelation 9:4). This means we who are sealed by Jesus Christ shall not be touched the these spirits of the abyss.

It is a tension when talking about visions and seerers, for the Bible says in last days people will see things, "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams," (Acts 2:17), and yet we must beware of the counterfeit, ""The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." (1 Timothy 4:1). This is why testing the spirits become imperative, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1). To do this we must have keen knowledge of Scripture (The Holy Bible) which allow us to check everything and measure it, and to lean on Holy Spirit and the conscious and gut he has given us on these matters. Remember that any spirit that does not confess Jesus Christ, is a false spirit, and if it preaches a different Jesus or gospel, remember Paul's words, "For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it too easily, " (2 Corinthians 11:4), and "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14). Before confusion could take hold, I want to explain that when it says Jesus is Light (John 1:4, Matthew 5:14) it is metaphor that he brings light to their sinful darkness by taking it away, He enlightens (Colossians 2:2-3) because He is all wisdom, and the light Christ is described as is a symbol and type for what He does to mankind, riding the darkness of devil (1 John 3:8), and like how light of sun makes crops grow, and gives energy to all creation, so Christ does to us. When it says Satan disguises himself as light, it means that he can pretend to be good, the beautiful side of evil, and deceive; just as he did in Eden with Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). Satan is not light. The Apostles are merely using symbolism to describe important concepts and points. Have nothing to do with all cults like Free Masonry that calls on a spirit of light, Nestorians, Gnosticism, Sons of Light,  Celtic traditions, and seekers of secret wisdom that talk about inner light, all of which is Luciferian, Satanic, and New Age. We do not worship light, we worship the Lord God, who is Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. God the Trinity invented light (Genesis 1:3) and He is source of all enlightenment (Proverbs 9:10, 1 Corinthians 1:24).

Our Lord and Savior warns us that there will come people who will try to ensnare people, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24). We must be on our guard and not let any spirit lead us on whims, but test the spirits to see if they are from God (1 John 4:3). We do this through Holy Scripture (Holy Bible ESV, AMPC, NLT) and the Holy Spirit. Do not look to strange spiritists and guides who will only mislead you, but look to Jesus Christ and the words in Bible and the voice of Holy Spirit.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
