Jesus is Wisdom

We seek Wisdom. We attend universities, read books, and consult scholars. But where does wisdom really come from? Where can it be found? The answer is simply Jesus Christ. The Bible clearly reveals that all wisdom comes from Christ, "that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. " (Colossians 2:2-3). The Apostle Paul talks about knowing only Christ, and there is temptation for people to think this means they must avoid the knowledge of the world, but actually when Paul said, "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified," (1 Corinthians 2:2), and "What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ." (Phillippians 3:8). What the apostle Paul is really saying, is that He has chosen to know the only true hidden treasure of wisdom and knowledge that is hidden in our Holy Savior.

The Wisdom of God is God, "but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:24). Christ is the Wisdom of God and thus the only way to become wise is to seek Him, this is why our Lord said, "But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah." (Matthew 23:8.10). Jesus Christ is Wisdom, and so only he can teach and instruct us to be wise! In Him lie the mysteries of the Universe, the answers to the deep festering questions, and the fullness of gnosis (knowledge). The apostle Paul says of Christ, "It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 Corinthians 30).

In contrast to Christ who is source of all wisdom, the world offers no wisdom, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, "He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness," (1 Corinthians 3:19) and "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." (1 Corinthians 1:25). This is why King Solomon, purported to wisest man who ever lived (not true now, because Jesus who is God is also Man and so being Wisdom of God is the wisest of men), said, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10). Fear (reverence) of Lord and knowledge of the God (knowing God) leads to wisdom and understanding! He is the source we must go to and this is why St. Paul said, "I count all things lost except knowing Christ.." The Apostle of Gentiles is leading us to the only source of wisdom. The Lord God who is Wisdom mocks the world and confounds the reasoning of men, "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." (1 Corinthians 1:27).

Jesus Christ is the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Follow Him and you shall become wise. This happened to the Apostles, who before the Sanhedrin spoke as scholars knowing the Scriptures when they were unschooling led, "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13). The Apostles were able to speak the Wisdom of God because they were doing what Paul said, "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better." (Ephesians 1:17). The Spirit of Wisdom is the Holy Spirit, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Wisdom because He is one with Father, and Christ, the Trinity they comprise who is One God, and the Holy Spirit relays the information from Jesus Christ as aforementioned. In fact Jesus said not to worry about what we should say before leaders and those who imprison us, "Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit." (Mark 13:11).

The Wisdom spoken of by Solomon is Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ, "She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue." (Proverbs 9:10). "Wisdom shouts in the streets, wherever crowds gather." (Proverbs 1:20). This is talking about Jesus who "Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore." (Matthew 13:2) and, "While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable.." (Luke 8:4). Do not be surprised about she part of Proverbs for Jesus spoke in a woman way, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing." (Matthew 23:37).
The Holy Spirit is described as "the comforter" (John 14:26) often has woman like characteristics, where do you think Eve got them? In fact women traditionally are known as the comforter in a family. Hence why a child when hurt runs to the mother first seeking her comforting embrace.

If you seek wisdom, to be wise, and discern the deep mysteries, seek the Lord Jesus Christ who is wisdom. To seek Him, you must talk (pray) to Him, wait on His voice, and search his words (The Scriptures, Holy Bible).

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
