The Problem of Politics

The problem of politics. The Church is envolved in two spheres of polticis; one being direct involvement in the goverment of the land and the second within the Church structure itself. Many believers will advocate that to be a true Christain one must particpate in voting and keep up with the politics. In the US alone, it is nearly impossible to be aware of every bill or law that is about to be ratified. I once was optimistic about voting, that was until I realized that Republic and Democrat are the same thing; just like Conservative and Liberal are the same. Oh yes, they espouse that they have different views and have great row on national television, but they both take the same pay check and at the end of the day their convictions fail.

To be a politician is essentially to be a professional liar. The goal is to achieve one thing, while pretending to be doing another. Jesus said, "let your yes be your yes and your no be your no." (Matthew 5:37). The saints are not suppose to play this game of espionage and put the lamp of truth under the bed. (Matthew 5:15, Mark4:21, and Luke 8:16). But the infection of politics is not only externally, in the local goverment, but within the Church itself. The Church is suppose to be community of Christians; it is people. But thanks to the politics of the Middle Ages, the community has become a fraternity and the souls of people have been forsaken for a system.

As Christians we should aim to be like Christ. The goal is transformation and transfiguration into the Trinity. But Church politics has believers chasing after man made causes and the whims of wolves in sheep's clothing. As Christain's are politics are suppose to be that of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is simply to share the Gospel, to love the Lord, and love our neighbor. In this essence it is not politicis, but power! Power that changes lives towards love, not prisons for the soul. Call me cynic, but the politics of this world is sheer folly. Mankind will contine to get the carosoul of Capitalism to Communism. We will go in the circle of Republic to Democracy to Socilaism to Communisiom. When we become prosperious we forget our God and then trust men who lead us back to poverty. Then in poverty we rediscover God and work our way back to prosperity. Man is mad and the madness is of the mind. The only cure is the Messiah, Jesus Christ and serving Him.

There will be no utopia, no pefect goverment or world until Christ Returns. Until then we must ride the raging seas of uncertainity and continue repeating the same political changes and revolutions since the Dawn of Mankind. The only investment worth our time is the Kingdom of Heaven, is winning souls; not because it will increase our wealth or cause, but so that they may find freedom in the arms of Christ. Our labors in any other purpose is in vain. You can work hard and try to create a goverment under God, but it will fall. America was founded on the Bible and the Founders feared the Lord. But look at the U.S.A now! It is a shadow of its former self! It is immoral, idolatrious, and inpertinant. This once great country has become a den of robbers and thieves. The leaders have forsaken the values and beliefs that built this nation and now the slow collapse continues on.

I will not cease to talk about politics, especially in the Church. But my guide or measuring stick for all things is the Holy Scriptures. I am concerned with what Christ says on the matter, not Kris Cristy or Karl Rove. As Christians we are called to a higher politics. If we are to vote and participate in the democratic way, we should do so as Christians! On the issues that matter, we should bring our Messiah and Maker into the voting booth. The cogntive dissonance cannot continue! Hypocrisy must stop! If you are a follower of Christ, then act like it! Stop making exuses for voting in those things that defile and do not allign with God's Word and His Spirit. It's time to vote according to a Higher Authority. To stop speaking and sharing words and take action! Too many sit in the pew and agree with the words, but do not act upon them! Are we going to live our faith or just honor it with our lips? Wake up Church! The hour is late and the time for playing politics is over. You must decide whom you will serve.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
