for King & Country

There are bands that have talent and then there are bands that have transformative power. In most cases musicians who have the ladder are in grip of Lucifer and affect people for the negative. But occasionally there comes a band under the Lord's Banner who lets out a battlecry that stirs believers. One such band is for King & Country. A group of Aussie Americans, for King & Country is band with a beat from another world. Songs like "You Matter," "Its Not Over," and "Run Wild, Live Free, and Love Strong," have the power to heal and inspire. I have followed many musicans in the Christian mainstream. I have been a long time fan of RED, Skillet, Newsboys, Kutless, Pillar, and many others. Each of the aforementioned artists are talented, but they do not all have that sound.

The sound is divine. It transcends this world and brings Heaven to Earth. It connects the Soul and Spirit and has the power to shake and save. for King & Country has the sound; one with revival potential. It is no suprise that the devil has come against them; Luke, the second lead singer got terribly sick and nearly died. He captures the experiance in the song, "Without You." Recently, the lighting director for the Tour got cancer. It not an understatement to say the band comes from the school of hardknocks. Their songs feature the themes of carrying on, keep fighting, and feeling downtrodden but not giving up. When you hear the voices of Joel, the lead singer, and his brother Luke, you feel reinforced and restored. To hear men singing about keeping the faith and discribing with exact detail  the struggles we all have, it is comforting and consoling.

This blog post may be precieved as a plug, to to promote the band. I without shame will say yes it is. They have a gift from God and the sound needs to be heard by every saint; every Christian should listen to their latest album: RUN WILD, LIVE FREE, LOVE STRONG. If you cannot afford the CD or iTunes copy, the band members themselves have put up the entire album on YouTube! Yes, the entire album is offically sanctioned to be on YouTube. I will provide the links to the songs that you should hear. Please, if the music moves you in anyway, buy their album.

There are many other songs worth sharing, but I shall stick to those listed. I hope that this music can help any believer manage the circumstances of their lives. Too often be become isolated in our problems and lose that connection. for King & Country has a gift from God to help reconnect us to the spirit of what it means to follow Christ. I know full well that there are many brillant muscians and that for King & Country is not the only means to reach the Maker; but their music is inspired by the Spirit and will uplift your spirits. So take a listen, and if you like or love it, please pick up a copy. The CD is only $9.99 at Target or download it for the same price on iTunes.

Addendum:

The sound quality is far superior if you purchase the CD. For many years people argued that Vinyl Records sounded better than CDs. Well the truth is the same with CD over digital (iTunes or YouTube). The CD of RUN WILD. LIVE FREE. LOVE STRONG. is much clearer and the drums, electric sounds, organ, bells, and all the other instruments are more pronounced and compliment the vocals. This is not to say that buying the iTunes version of the album has no merit, but I thought you should know that just listening to the YouTube cannot do the music full justice. So buy the CD and if you cannot play the CD, get the iTunes Album.

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...

Concerns About The Jerusalem Cross

When you travel to Jerusalem, it is the custom of a pilgrim to by a Jerusalem Cross as souvenir. Its suppose to represent Jerusalem, and Christianity there. Even Protestant brothers and sisters have adopted the Jerusalem Cross symbol as a missionary symbol, the four extra crosses being to four corners of the world, “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31). The problem is that the Jerusalem Cross has a very dark history spiritually. Yes it was used like French Cross as a counter to Nazi swastika during the 1940’s which is ironic since one variant of Cross Potent which is in the Jerusalem Cross was a swastika called the grammadion which was a talisman for luck and good fortune: My greater concern is the crusader theology tied to the Jerusalem Cross. The Jerusalem Cross as we know it was created when the Kingdom of Jerusalem was formed during The Fi...
