“I Just Want To Be With You”

I knew a musician who wrote a song from Christ to His people, “I just want to be with you.” (St. Antony of Cali) The sentiment of this song is so true. Jesus wants to be with us, this is why He died to bring us go Himself, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God (God is Jesus, see 2 Peter 1:1, Titus 2:13,  John 1:1-3, Colossians 2:8-10, Colossians 1:19, God is also the Father and Holy Spirit who are One with Jesus John 10:30, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 20:20-23). He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18 NLT).

Our Lord Jesus Christ died to save us (2 Timothy 1:9), to give us eternal life (John 3:16), heaven (Revelation 21:1-4), and spare us the inferno; all of this is true, but for Him what was the purpose other than being our loving hero and God? His purpose is He wanted to be with us! The Lord wants to be with us forever, “I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever,” (Revelation 21:3-4), we are His children made in His image (Genesis 1:26-27) and because of sin it was impossible (Exodus 34:20), so God became flesh snd died in that flesh on the cross to break the power of sin, “We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:9-11). His blood making a river that put out the inferno and allow us to sail across to heaven and Him! More than that He has deposited Himself in us until we see our Him face to face, “All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.” (1 John 4:15), and “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27).

Jesus suffered agony on the cross, but not woefully, passionately!, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2). He did it because “He just wants to be with you” and all who believe in Him are going to be, “No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.  For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son,” (John 3:13-18), “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me: Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the  Father will honor anyone who serves me,” (John 12:2), “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,” (John 14:6), and “When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” (John 14:3), “In My Father's house there are many mansions. And if not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” (John 14:2). Jesus has saved us, lives in us,  and speaks to us and hears us. He is coming again on the clouds of heaven fo meet us His bride (Revelation 19:6-9) and Be with us forever in the flesh (Revelation 21:3-4). God the Trinity wants to be with us, to bring us to those mansions, and to have us with Him forever through faith in Him as the Lord and Son of God (Philippians 3:9, John 3:16, John 6:40, and Romans 10:9-10).

Jesus wants us to be with Him, we who He with Father and Holy Spirit created in their image (Genesis 1:26-27). And to be His family and children. The Lord God loves us so much, He wants us to be close to Him bow through faith and knowing Him (John 17:3) and we shall continue to know Him in spirit and truth tell we meet Christ in the body upon His return. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
