Snowflakes: God’s Handiwork

Each and every snowflake is unique. No two snowflakes are alike! As billions of flakes fall from the sky, each one is crafted with a design that is not shared with the others. Snowflakes are an incredible sign of our Creator and Lord God’s handiwork and they remind us of how each person on earth is unique, one of a kind and made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27).

No two persons is alike, we each differ despite similarities. Two identical twins with the same D.N.A have totally different personalities, desires, and hopes. I know two identical twins, one love the Lord Jesus and the other does not, one had battled cancer their whole life while the other has never had cancer (the Christian). And yet they have the same D.N.A! Snowflakes to many may seem the same, a white speck falling from the sky, but upon closer examination they bear designs that would make us believe engineers and artists borrowed ideas from them:

Snowflakes are God’s reminder that He makes all things unique and breathes life into it. We all may look like the white speck to others who do not see us, but upon closer examination we discover the intricacies and qualities that are solely ours: our personality, thoughts, words, soul and spirit. There is no other person on earth that is you, only you are you and that makes you as unique as the snowflake that is identical to no other! So often we try to be someone else, to measure ourselves by others, but this is folly. You were meant to be you, not someone else or else you would be them! You do not see one snowflake wishing it was another snowflake, nor a bird wanting to be a different species. No, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well: Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous--how well I know it.” (Psalm 139:41).

Take a lesson from the snowflake this Holiday Season. Do not envy the other designs, the other people. You can marvel and praise The Lord Jesus for His handiwork (John 1:3), and admire His creation, but do not neglect His masterpiece which is you! The Lord Trinity put you on earth as you are and has plans that only you can seek out and make happen! I know I am sounding like a motivational speaker, but it is true! There are those I love on this life, and it is their unique personality and words and soul that I delight being around! When I see them trying to be someone they are not if pains me, just as it pains God the Trinity! I have watched a man I know who is giving person, who would give the shirt off his back be given advice not to give and be stingy and when he follows this path I see the warmth in his eye go dim and his countenance grow frigid because he’s not being himself! For forty plus years he has delighted in helping others and now he is told not to and it is snuffing our the real him! Do not let that happen to you! Each of us like the snowflake are suppose to be uniquely who we are. If we have sins then we must confess them to Jesus and He will forgive us (1 John 2:1-4) and we will battle our transgressions with Him inside us (1 John 4:15).

Each and every snowflake is unique. God the Trinity designs every single one even though they will hit the ground and shatter. He takes care to forge each flake knowing they will dissolve, and yet He takes pleasure in them, like the distant stars which only He can see. For Christ holds together all things and created all things including snowflakes, “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” (Colossians 1:15-17). The wonder at His handiwork, that He delights in forming the flakes of snow and the waves of the sea. An active Creator who can run the Universe and be present with us and tend to each and everyone of us individually!

The snowflake is a good symbol for our lives, that we are sailing in our unique life, but one day we will reach the floor. Thank Christ that is not the end! That when the snowflake of our life ends we shall be raised again to new life in heaven and on this earth renewed to be with our Lord God forevermore! (1 Corinthians 15:35-58, Revelation 21:1-46). Amen:

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
